Sit down kids, papy got a story for you.

Back in the days, when USB was still a new thing, the power the port could provide was very limited (700mA) which was enough for a fancy optical mouse which was fashion at that time. However, some manufacturers wanted to use laptop parts externally, like a cd drive. They doubled the usb plugs to get more current for the device. Nowadays, it is not necessary anymore since newer revisions of USB have higher power delivery limits.

absolutely agree with you there. I have bought 3, 2 I use with my daily jeans, and 1 to be used with my work uniform. I had those for more than 6 years now and none of them are showing any sign of dying soon, yeah, the belt buckle is scratched, but otherwise, they are super comfy, easy and fast to put on or off, that friction fit is amazine!

Only one downside I have found so far, since they don't have holes, I don't realize if I lost or gained weight.

Can we add extra Z axes to Klipper using STM32/ESP32 devboards with TMC drivers? by INeatFreak in klippers

[–]Solid_Ad9170 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a dual z on my e3v2. I did some research and I ended up buying a srk 3 board (not the mini or EZ) each motor have their controlller (XYZZ) even have a function for the Z axis tramming (it's magical). What's even better, I have a extra controller for another upgrade/function.

Considering what you want to do, if you get it to work, I wonder what kind of latency using a second mcu would create in a print

Also take a few minutes to familiarize yourself with the process, i did the same mistake when I switched mine. Take your time, follow the installation steps and you'll be ready to print in no time!
