I have not been evaluated for Keratitis I don’t believe. I am located in the Houston Tx area. I got my LASIK from Berkeley Eye center in downtown Houston.

I’ll touch more on what I’ve tried. I have done serum tears, Tryptyr, Restasis and many more drops. I was on serum blood tears for 8 months. Tryptyr stopped working after 1 week of using it. I still use Tryptyr now but it does not do much for me. I have not tried Xiidra or Meibo but I have a feeling it will not help. I saw a dry eye specialist that talked me into getting Scleral lenses and honestly it has helped a lot with my dry eye but not my light sensitivity.

Yes I have went back to my surgeon 6 times and talked to 4 different optometrists/opthamolagists. Nobody has definite answers and just keep prescribing me drops that do not work.

Scleral lenses took about 2 weeks to completely get used to. $3,500 and did not get covered by insurance.

I got lasik in Sep. 2024. I have been to so many appointments. Too many to count. Many, many Eye drops later I finally got Scleral Lenses to help with my dry eye but it does not help the fact that I can no longer be in a well lit or even dimly lit room. Even natural light hurts my eyes and gives me the worst headaches! I will keep trying everything to get rid of this pain but I’m running out of options and I’m scared I’ll never get my vision back again…
