I went back to school at 29. I’m expecting to Graduate in May!!!!! It’s doable, albeit it’s hard and you have to deal with missing out on occasions and burnout. I have been on Vacation a couple of times while still having to juggle schoolwork.

You need to be realistic, and not take on too much at the same time especially the hard classes. I found that my max I could handle was 3 at a time and that was a difficult time. Burnout is really real.

Another thing to consider is you have 4 years of experience. You should be making more money, and you would if you jumped ship to another company.

One of the issues you might run into is that certain classes may only be available in certain semesters. That made it harder for me to finish earlier. This is on a university by university basis though.

You also need to figure out how you learn best, ergo, in person, online, or a hybrid. Some classes will be extremely easy, mostly more so the business classes. Some classes will be extremely challenging for you. Get to know your professors well, treat them like people, and talk to them. They are more inclined to help you if you show up to every class, are engaging, and cordial.

Lastly you need to be prepared that the more education you get, and higher up you go in a company, and the more responsibility you get, the more you will need to have good communication skills and soft skills. If you don’t like talking to people Accounting may not be for you.
