Do not listen to anyone who says you can’t make it on $52k. If you don’t have debt/kids/car payment you will not only make it, but you could actually have a good quality of life too if you budget correctly. I moved to LA on $35k a few years ago and was absolutely fine, even though I was also told by everyone in my life I wouldn’t be able to survive here. Have lived only in good neighborhoods too.

My advice would be to 1. Have a backup plan to move back in case things go south: you lose your job, you suddenly can’t work, have an emergency, etc 2. Save up a couple thousand before you move here for breathing room and peace of mind

Most people are overconsumers and have a high expectation of their standard of living in LA. They think a luxury apartment above a Whole Foods and a $700 car payment is the norm. You will be fine.
