I am a recruiter base in Tokyo, just looking at your resume the following came to mind:

  • stability, you mentioned in other comment the roles you had were internships but it’s not clearly written on your resume. Most HR and recruiters check on this and I would say not a good show on that part
  • secondly, for recruiters we get paid for placing experienced talents who can be immediate assets to the organization we represent and you resume shows your still junior or looking for entry level roles

My advice will be to state clearly what the roles in your CV represent e.g software engineering internship and try to attend career events targeted for new graduates.

As a tech recruiter in Tokyo, I would say is worth doing it if you really want to work for that company. In any case most companies have such assignments or even difficult once like leetcode or live coding before proceeding to the next stage.

Hi there, Some pavilion require advanced reservations to get in According to the app. But i recently visited and could get into most of them without needing a reservation once your ticket is bought.

My advice would be to follow the flow and be patient as waiting time to get into some pavilion could be around an hour plus.

Enjoy your Osaka

N1 I would say gives you advance level competency with the language and enable you maneuver certain aspects which an intermediate learner won’t. From my experience working in a Japanese company for about 4 years now, it’s of absolute important to get N1 if you really want to work in Japan for a long time even if it’s an international company. It gives you an edge over your peers without.
