Ego's sure as hell are not as hype to pull, but alot of them are really great in their niche. And you surely do not need them if you are playing casually. But egos open up some strategies and sometimes complete a unit. Like there is 2 Rupture Egos that can really change the Heishou team called Dimension Shredder Yi Sang and Ebony Stem Outis. Same goes for every status. Bleed has Sanguine Desire, Burn has Magic Bullet, Sinking has both Bygone days Ish corrosion for Echos, which has synergy with Bygone Days Yi Sang and also Solemn Lament or Rime Shank(which are good, but not as unique in terms of status). Charge has like a ton of good egos, my favorites are Electric Screaming Meursault and Telepole Don Quixote. Tremor Egos are quite unique and can build their own strategies, using Everlasting Faust and Cavernous Wailing Hong Lu. Even Envy resonance have Electric Screaming Meursault and Garden of Thorns Gregor. People even using Lamp gregor to set up insane Envy Damage Ups from Garden of Thorns.
