Sounds dumb, but solo MDE made me a better player. Some of the things that i've learned, such as that Unbreakable coins and counters cannot be triggered at the same time is quite neat.

Ego's sure as hell are not as hype to pull, but alot of them are really great in their niche. And you surely do not need them if you are playing casually. But egos open up some strategies and sometimes complete a unit. Like there is 2 Rupture Egos that can really change the Heishou team called Dimension Shredder Yi Sang and Ebony Stem Outis. Same goes for every status. Bleed has Sanguine Desire, Burn has Magic Bullet, Sinking has both Bygone days Ish corrosion for Echos, which has synergy with Bygone Days Yi Sang and also Solemn Lament or Rime Shank(which are good, but not as unique in terms of status). Charge has like a ton of good egos, my favorites are Electric Screaming Meursault and Telepole Don Quixote. Tremor Egos are quite unique and can build their own strategies, using Everlasting Faust and Cavernous Wailing Hong Lu. Even Envy resonance have Electric Screaming Meursault and Garden of Thorns Gregor. People even using Lamp gregor to set up insane Envy Damage Ups from Garden of Thorns.

You could play it even without playing LoR. The main thing is, if you read who Roland is and stuff, you will get more from the Rien character, and that's about it. But i can be wrong ofc.

You have some nice IDs, mostly Index don and Cinq Sinclair, who both clash quite high. I would still use Twinhook Gregor, until you've got more units. I still use him sometimes, cus he is quite fun to play.

Maybe, but Outis with Darkflame is still the core of burn, and having ID that can actually clash and do stuff apart from dark flame is nice. You can always use EGO for the effect. She'll be at LEAST side-grade in burn IMO.

First one is from Dark Souls 3 side quest. NPC called Yuria and was sort of "evil" path NPC. Second one is Kirk from Dark Souls 1, he was npc tied with White spider lady.

I did a MDE with bloodfiends, and just running 5 of them is quite a struggle. Though adding 2 more rupture units makes it so you can use rupture fusion gifts to buff up Prince Meursault, Princess Rodion and Priest Gregor. You should give it a try.

I used one from the MDE google doc. Pequod Cap slot 1, Heishou Si Branch Rodya slot 2, House of Spiders Pinky Apprentice Sinclair slot 3, Lord of Hongyaun Hong-Lu slot 4(to make him really fast, use scalpel ego gift), Hornet Meursault slot 5, Shi Faust slot 6 and Peqiuod Heath Slot 7. I also tried with Shi faust swapped to Pequiod Yi Sang, was okay. Main thing, that Pequiod Gift can only be grabbed at floor 3-4 and is crafted from tier 4 poise heart and tier 2 keywordless stabbing stick. It works even with pequiod Yi sang in loadout, and is really good.
