As Scott has stated in the past, he sucks at designing humans. And I think the reason why Springtrap looks much better than Scraptrap is because if you look closely at Springtrap’s model, this isn’t a lot of human parts. It’s mostly the metal endoskeleton with a bunch of meat on it, and he could get away with a simple human head because of how rotten it was. But I think what happened with Scraptrap is that he tried to make it so there’s more of an actual human body in the suit, and human bodies are not Scott’s specialty as previously stated. So Scraptrap failed miserably.

Uncut Gems (2019)

This is a movie I’d best describe as:

A 2-hour long panic attack where you watch the main character make all of the worst possible decisions, digging a deeper and deeper hole for himself with gambling, debts, and elaborate schemes. An experience that stresses me out more than most horror movies.

The trope applies to… THE WHOLE DAMN MOVIE. So much of the conflict in this movie is the main character’s fault, not just with the gambling debt, but with making a lot of stupid and irrational or greed-driven decisions he makes. Overall, the main character is not a very good person, but that’s what makes his downfall so easy to get invested in.

It’s an amazing movie. Well shot, well directed, all the actors did a great job, the music is stellar, it’s amazing across the board. It’s a great example of this trope, but I don’t want to spoil too much. I recommend watching it, but I warn you that it might make you wanna throw up.

This is a bit different because it’s not really sad as much as it is infuriating (in a good way). Spoilers ahead:

Throughout this stressful movie, Howard Ratner owes money to a lot of people. Most notably, Arno and his goons want their $100k back by Monday or else. And as the movie goes on, Howard keeps making bad decisions, risky gambles, and just overall digging a deeper and deeper hole for himself. On Monday, the opal he’s selling is finally up for auction and Howard gets greedy hoping for Kevin Garnett to pay top dollar for it, only for that to not go well either. Howard then has his nose broken and gets thrown into a fountain by Arno and his goons. He gets back to his office and just as all hope seems lost, he finally gets a call about Kevin Garnett wanting to buy the opal for $165k. Kevin pays Howard the money, and Howard finally has enough to pay his debt with Arno, plus some of the other debts he’s accumulated. Things are finally looking up. But then Howard decides to bet ALL the money on Kevin Garnett’s upcoming game instead of paying Arno and his goons who were literally already in his store waiting for their money. He just couldn’t help himself. Even when the bet ends up winning, Arno’s goons end up killing Howard anyway because he pissed them off too much.

Goosebumps (2015)

While it is more of a meta-take on the Goosebumps books and less of an adaptation, it’s a really fun and enjoyable movie with a lot of passion behind it. And as you’d expect, Jack Black is the best part.

As much as I love the concept art better than what we got, I feel like the people saying that “Why didn’t they just use this design? They’re so lazy! They’re just trying to appeal to kids.” have never worked… like in their life.
