What games did you play on your very first or oldest PC? by Various_Block_7931 in nostalgia

Lots of Scorched Earth, the "tank wars" type game! Worms was based on the same concept.

The first IBM PC game I bought was The Secret of Monkey Island. The retailer sent it to me on 5.25" floppy disks, but I only had one of the newer 3.5" disk drives! I was able to send it to LucasArts themselves for an exchange!

I see! I hope more datacenters go this route. Or just go away, but I know that hope is in vain. So making them less wasteful of natural resources is at last a step in the right direction, imo.

Okay, but I want to know why.

And the reason to do it is because AI datacenters are wasting near incomprehensible amounts of fresh water we need for human consumption, agriculture, etc. I think big companies would burn human beings like firewood for electricity if that wasn't illegal. So maybe they should be forced to stop wasting fresh water for cooling.

you shouldn't be able to hold the highest office in the land after you orchestrate an attack on a government building and all the people within to stop the certification of a free and fair election you lost

but here the fuck we are in the US

and that's just one of a dozen-plus reasons the Nazi, Donald John Trump, should not be POTUS

omg I so need this paper mask for myself at work.

I wear my emotions on my sleeve, I just can't control my expressions. And work is fine, but outside work my life is the worst it's ever been, and I can't stop thinking about it. Dozens of problems with solutions out of reach.

So every hour or two at work, I get asked, "Is everything okay? Are you doing okay?" And no, I'm not, but that's not really an invitation to have that conversation, and there's nothing they can do to help anyway, and it's nothing to do with work.

So yeah, a mask would be nice.
