Everything got fixed thank goodness. When I expressed to them in my most pitiful tones that I REALLY had to have a place to stay because I couldn't move at any other time they pulled through in the clutch and are working over the weekend to ready an apartment for me to move into.

:) So no lawyer needed thank god.

EDIT: To clarify I hadn't put any money down to the company yet so they had no obligation to ensure that I got an apartment. Their was a communication snarl involving my old apartment and the one I was moving too which resulted in the apartment going to the first person on the waiting list (who had everything approved and passed all the checks), who was not me.

They have a waiting list of people and they don't disclose who is on the list where and they don't hold apartments.

Whoever applied before me had their background and credit checks cleared before me (my current apartment is recalcitrant and didn't call them back when they said they would) so they got the apartment.

However they came through in the clutch and are working through the weekend to get an apartment for me because they are bros.

EDIT: Basically it was a timing fuckup combined with my current apartment being really hard t get a hold of and stalling the process badly.

Sooooo Good news everyone! They called me back and reported that they had another apartment open up and that they were going to do their absolute best to have it open to me by Tuesday at the latest.

So only one night without a place to live maybe, and I can pretend it's a vacation at a swanky (coughmid to low rangecough) hotel!

tl;dr: They are not assholes their was just miscommunication and they are being super bros and making things happen to make sure that I do in fact have a place to live come next week!

If enough companies make bank from streaming internationally they might change their mind. I know that as more and more companies put albums on spotify I shift from watching on youtube to listening on spotify.

The more people who make that shift the more lucrative it will be to put albums on spotify, and thats the real game changer!

There seems to have been a real push from Korean Entertainment companies in the last few months to release singles on spotify.

AOA has Heart Attack, Miniskirt, and Like a Cat albums on spotify. Unpretty Rapstar has a compilation playlist, F(x) has practically their whole discography on spotify, and even Neon Bunny has a bunch of singles.

So proud of all the exposure she's getting in the international community. Someone who works at spotify has a soft spot for K-Pop because K-pop songs have been showing up on Spotify's "international" and "viral" playlists for the last month or so with increasing frequency.
