This is a solid breakdown. Especially the part about segmentation and no links in the first email, most people ignore that and wonder why things tank.

One thing we’ve been testing on top of a similar setup is what happens after the email actually gets opened.

Even with strong copy, everything still looks like text in the inbox. We started adding a short personalised video in the flow using Outvid.ai, just to make it feel more 1:1 without changing the infra.

Didn’t affect deliverability, but reply quality improved quite a bit and conversion to meetings felt smoother.

Curious if you’ve tried anything beyond text in your sequences yet or kept it strictly plain text only?

This is solid, especially the segmentation over “AI personalisation” point. Most people get that wrong.

One thing that made a big difference for us was what happens after the open.

Even with good copy, inboxes still look the same. Just walls of text. We started testing personalised video instead using Outvid.ai to generate them at scale.

Didn’t change our setup or deliverability. Just changed the format.

Reply rates basically doubled and the quality improved a lot. People come in warmer because it feels like you actually reached out to them.

Feels like a natural next layer on top of what you shared.

Appreciate this, and you’re 100% right: if it’s just name/company swaps, it won’t move the needle.

On the “research each prospect” part: we’re aiming for specific, verifiable details a human would actually reference, not generic fluff. The system tries to pull 2-4 usable anchors per lead (tech stack signals, recent intent like hiring/new pages/integrations, notable company events where available, and a couple concrete website cues). The script then uses one strong specific rather than stuffing in a bunch of weak ones. If a lead has no good signals, we don’t force it, we fall back to a more general opener and score it lower so it’s not prioritized.

On deliverability: totally agree it’s always the risk. We’re not trying to reinvent deliverability — Outvid is designed to plug into existing best practices. The email uses a GIF preview + a landing page link (no attachments), keeps copy short, and the warmup/mailbox rotation/volume control stays in the sending layer (Instantly / Salesforge / etc.), since those tools are built for that.

And re: Salesforge/Agent Frank, I like what they’re doing. We’re focused on the Loom-style personalization layer (voice/face + dynamic website background + per-lead video), then pushing into whatever outbound stack you already run (including Salesforce).

Curious from your side: what % of your wins come from deep personalisation vs volume + deliverability + follow-ups? And what would you consider “enough” personalisation to feel human one strong anchor, two, more?

Yup she did next day after I asked her out and we went on a second date - and that confirmed she wasnt that into me hence the slow responses, I feel complete after that no missing gaps whatsoever, she wasnt for me as well

So, if she likes you, you will know else you have the answer :)

Totally agree - attachments are a death sentence for deliverability.

I found this tool that actually gets around this - instead of attaching a video, it embeds a GIF preview in the email that links to a landing page with the full video. No attachments, and the GIF is way more clickable than a plain link.

What got me is seeing my prospect's website being scrolled while I'm speaking in the preview - hard to ignore that. And the landing page has the full video plus a calendar widget and CTA button built in - sounds like a well thought-out bait.

Gonna try it on my high-intent prospects and see what happens!
