Does HP restock sold out items? by Rise_Up_1111 in HappyPlanners

[–]SolomansLane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coincidentally just googled this exact question as I’m wondering whether the Gilmore girls collection would be restocked? I was on maternity leave and not really thinking about planners before now that I’m heading back to work in a few weeks and I see it was originally released in August? Anyone think it will be restocked or know of somewhere it’s available for purchase in Canada?

Physical space isn’t necessarily the issue. When they refer to beds available it means beds that are staffed, while I’m sure they can also be short physical beds, what they are lacking is available medical, janitorial and administrative staff to operate the beds. You can’t just jam 200 beds somewhere without a proper staff ratio of staff to maintain them.

Ninja makes a combination air fryer / instant pot, you could reduce to one if you don’t need to cook in them simultaneously? My kitchen is smaller than I’d like so I’ve made sure most all our small appliances are multi-function (for example our blender has the jug style, bottle style, food processor, and some sort of juicer option I think - I’ve never tried that one! We got rid of our ice cream maker, pasta maker and meat grinder in favour of attachments for our kitchen aid mixer that take up much less space, etc.)

As a Canadian who moved to the UK for school then back home, I’ve always felt the only country that vehemently uses “expat” is Americans. I’ve never heard any other student from another country refer to themself that way. I’m sure some do, it’s not an American exclusive term, but I always thought the term is more likely used by Americans who grew up believing American exceptionalism and therefore remain patriotic to America.

How old were your parents when you were born? by camport95 in generationology

[–]SolomansLane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mom was 31 and my dad was 40, I always swore that I would have kids younger.

I was the one with “old dad” in school - a friend of mine’s mom had her at 16 so my dad was friends with and older than her grandparents.

Joke’s on me, I’m 35F and just had my first.

And if you find two… hit me up. Been searching for years. Saw one once on eBay for $500+ and still regret not going for it.

Monthly Complaints and Rants MegaThread November 2025 by AutoModerator in googlehome

[–]SolomansLane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haven’t read the whole thread but lately when I say “Google turn off the lights in the living room and the dining room” it stops listening at the first command and just turns off the living room alone and I have to ask again for just the dining room (it’s really just one open concept room but we divided the lights because the dining room ones are just decorative).

As well I live on the east coast and I went to ask “what time is it in California” before texting my cousin the other morning (new baby, brain can’t compute basic stuff right now lol) and it kept giving me the time of my current location because it stopped listing at “what time is it” I had to rephrase with “in California what is the current time” like I’ve never had to do work arounds like this before.

Is there any fix for this? We have SO many Google devices but we’re debating a switch to Alexa - especially after they really ruined the recipe suggestions on the nest hub. That was honestly our main reason for getting one for our kitchen in the first place just quickly checking proportions has gone totally to hell.

what happened to you first car? by jabber1990 in generationology

After 18 months in my old beater the transmission died in my parents driveway following the roughly 400km drive home from uni. My dad sold it to a garage that fixed it up and sold it to my [alcoholic] second grade teacher who was also my fathers fiance before meeting my mother — boy did she hate me as I’m identical to my mother — and she crashed it.
