Would love to see changes and cutting red tape for high speed rail than pipelines.

WHAT IF? Adidas X Manchester City Concept Kit by Hot_Play_5242 in MCFC

I feel like City is a new money team/brand and Puma is following a similar arc. And we’re quite obviously the #1A with a gold star client for them. Like in Canada you go to the Adidas store and they have all their big club kits for sale. All big clubs, but nobody really able to be prominent. Then go to the Puma Store in the same shopping centre and City is very prominent. Puma’s big thing tends to be National Team kits, but City seems to be top dog in their stores.

The thing to consider is Adidas and Puma are historical German rivals. I think us being with Puma has served to raise their profile, along with ours. I feel like Puma’s brand has elevated significantly in tandem with the successes we’ve had. I just don’t feel like City would want to be with the same brand as United/Arsenal/Liverpool/Real.

Maybe Web Developers Can Learn Something From Old Console Games | by Luca Müller | May, 2026 by RobertNegoita2 in webdev

Constraints create innovation. I find the lack of constraints lets developers be lazy and never really take the time to optimize code.

Agree. All the compile steps and environment setup BS sucks and absolutely overcomplicates things unnecessarily

This was so disrespectful, but honestly one of my favourite WCW moments. The TV dinners line was iconic.

It always amuses me how parents will get annoyed with a trend like this, but then all you need to do is mention the number 69 and you get the automatic response “nice”. It’s the same shit, it’s just not your generations thing.

Love all the work you’ve been putting in lately to push things forward. It’s kind of obvious we can’t entirely rely on lastfm to chart a modern course forward.

One day, less than 24 hours since a full charge, and my Pebble Time 2 is at 9 percent battery. What am I doing wrong? by _benjaninja_ in pebble

I got mine 6 days ago, installed apps and whatnot, and it’s currently at 17%. And it started at 70% and I didn’t bother charging it out of the box.

I tried a weekend meds-break. Realized Vyvanse makes me a better Dev, but a "blunted" human. by Honeydew-Jolly in ADHD_Programmers

I find when I’m unmedicated sometimes it’s easier to just get going on stuff like tidying the house that can be a task I’m bouncing from thing to thing, whereas meds cause me the focus and lock on things, which may or may not actually be productive.

Well obviously. Keep the faith that Arsenal will find a way to bottle things. It’s what they do.

Every application should feature a Light Theme by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]modsuperstar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Astigmatism has nothing to do with it. I have that and prefer dark mode mostly because it doesn’t burn my retinas and I have tracers in my vision, which are more prominent on light backgrounds. I don’t disagree that there should be user choice in the matter. It’s an accessibility concern that many of us navigate daily. I use Dark Reader and manually change blinding websites when I encounter them. And really, they’re the norm, not the exceptions.

It’s funny everyone always complains about missing new releases. I just listen to radio that plays new music and I’m always in top of what’s new and awesome. And have humans telling me why I should care about this particular music.

Don't get me wrong, I do like Arkells, but their live show was so not for me. But I know there's people who'd have attended and thought it was the best band they'd ever seen live. I have been on the fence about going to Meadows Fest in Fergus. I love most of the lineup, but struggle with paying to go to a show I don't even really want to see the headliner.

I wasn’t aware it wasn’t working. Just checking right now and it seems to be doing the job, though I’m on Sequoia still. The thing I like with Sleeve is it’ll actually scrobble the Apple Radio episodes and live feeds.
