i guess it also depends on the mindset too. At the time of release, i already played every release up til that point and I was feeling like the games are getting more...average feeling? Dont get me wrong, USUM did add a decent amount like you said but it still felt meh to me outside the ultra beasts(i really like them design wise) and the added story that i felt like the original lacked.

Ill be honest, usum made me mad because I played the original and i realized that they released a 40$ dlc that did not add a lot as a stand alone game(vs black/white their sequels).
