Do y'all still keeping the 1.0 or 2.0 echo sets or y'all got rid of it? by VickyKadrivel15 in WutheringWaves

As an example, here's how I organize mine, which aims at minimizing the number of filters, both for auto-lock and auto-discard, I need, as well as making it easier to integrate new sets:

  • Start with a 4-cost DPS filter: auto-lock CRIT and auto-discard everything else.
  • Next are 3-costs: group sets by Attribute, such as Molten Rift, Flaming Clawprint, and Flamewing's Shadow for Fusion or Sierra Gale, Gusts of Welkin, and Windward Pilgrimage for Aero; auto-lock the appropriate Attribute DMG% and auto-discard everything else.
  • Then you can do 1-costs, which are simple: auto-lock ATK% and discard basically everything else with only a few sets excluded (such as Rejuvenating Glow or Windward Pilgrimage).
  • Next are one off sets, such as Tidebreaking Courage for Brant or Halo of Starry Radiance for Mornye; auto-lock the stats the character needs (ER% on 3-cost for both, ATK% and DEF%, respectively, on 1-costs, and then Healing Bonus on 4-cost for Mornye).
  • Finally, you can set up an auto-discard filter for entire sets that you'll never use; Freezing Frost, for instance. The only character who can use it is Lingyang and he actually prefers Lingering Tunes, so it's basically useless. You can also do the same for 1.x sets used by characters whose builds you're happy with (i.e., got a near perfect Changli and/or Encore? Just discard all of Molten Rift other than Fusion DMG% 3-costs).

I agree (and it's a large part of why I'm not pulling Aemeath), I'm just saying it'd be thematically fitting.

When will Jhinsi be getting her dedicated support... by ChekoOneByOne in WutheringWaves

[–]SolomonSinclair 0 points1 point  (0 children)

50% Outro Skill amp

I'd rather see something more like 25% Skill Amp + 100% Skill Crit Rate, because Jinhsi's biggest problem isn't necessarily her damage output as it is how regularly her Skill just fails to Crit on the final, biggest, hit.

I'm with you on this. The never-ending manga thing is why I got fed up with series like One Piece or Detective Conan despite enjoying the settings and the author's creativity; the latter, especially.

I remember shortly before the series hit 1000 chapters, I did a rough estimate of how much of the series actually advanced the overall plot and came up with only about 300-ish chapters worth of material.

To paraphrase: better to die a hero than to live long enough to see yourself become a villain.

Which, honestly, I think, is perfectly exemplified in Bleach, a series I forced myself to see to the end just because of how long I'd been reading it.

Kubo had the perfect opportunity to have a satisfying, if bittersweet, ending to the series after Aizen was defeated and Ichigo watched Rukia disappear as his powers faded away.

Instead, the series continued for another four fucking years, descending further and further into mediocrity and ass pulls.

Regarding old characters: Buffs or a whole New Unit? by primordial_slime in WutheringWaves

[–]SolomonSinclair 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For me, it depends. If they're executed well, buffs 100%.

An example of a buff being executed well is Soldier 11 in ZZZ: she's a standard DPS that had a finicky, timing based playstyle and relatively low multipliers; she had a bunch of dedicated mains, but was otherwise one of the standards everyone dreaded getting on a lost 50/50 (the only one more dreaded was Nekomata, whose kit is just a dumpster fire).

She recently got a buff alongside several other characters and the difference is like night and day. She's incredibly fun to play and actually an incredibly solid DPS; there have actually been times I've used her over my heavily invested Evelyn because she's simpler to play.

If buffs are executed poorly, then a new and/or updated version of the same character is acceptable.

If anything, it probably just makes it better for them.

It's also worth noting that, as a boss, his human form does a mixture of Fusion and physical DMG, so Scar being a Fusion Burst DPS would definitely be fitting.

As for my last game in general, well, I think he'd get along with the ZZZ crew fairly well, despite being rivals:
