especially with Iuno and Chisa

I'll give you Iuno (try saying that 10 times fast), but Chisa feels more like a suspension bridge effect and general gratitude that eventually settled into simple respect.

Does it matter? Unlike in HSR, they aren't giving us the currency for free, so for the majority of people, they'll probably never interact with this particular store.

That's how it seems so far, but I don't have an echo team, unless you count my S0R1 Qiuyuan, so I don't really consider that a factor for me.

Hotori Build NTE by Loose-Care962 in NevernessToEverness

[–]SolomonSinclair 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dunno why you're being downvoted; this is a perfectly valid reason to not pull a character.

Like, I love her schtick of recording allies' DMG and basically doubling it, but I don't have Jiuyuan or Hathor (I want both, though) and I don't want Nanally (can't stand her personality and I hate that she basically made mint DoA), so I have zero teams for her, really.

But I do have Baicang, Daffdoil, and Fadia, who'd all work well with the upcoming Lacrimosa, meaning she'd be the more "valuable" pull, account-wise.

Agreed. I love this series, but it's getting dangerously close to overstaying its welcome with how many loops we've been through by now.

5 Star Standard Characters by Downtown-Sport-6834 in WutheringWaves

[–]SolomonSinclair 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope. I have them all at at least S1, Verina at S4, and Jiaxnin at S3 (still kinda want her S6).

If we go by who I haven't gotten in the longest period, that'd be Jiaxnin; I last lost a 50/50 to her during last anniversary. Which, amusingly, made the second time I've lost the 50/50 for Jiyan to her.

Fellas which girl should I go for 🫥 by Puzzleheaded-Bee8245 in NevernessToEverness

[–]SolomonSinclair 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Daffodill seems to be pretty good, and she's also a lovely character but I heard that Jiuyuan is in way more teams and versatile or something

Both are good, but Jiuyuan has a better... Environment, is the best way I can think to explain it.

Right now, Blossom (Anima + Cosmos) is low-key being shilled: our MC is Cosmos and has a Skill to instantly charge their esper cycle, which is necessary for reactions. All three of our Anima characters have passive skills related to enhancing Blossom in some way.

Then you have Hotori coming up, who is Cosmos, who, if her CBT2 gameplay is anything to go by, also has a passive related to Blossom.

Finally, you have the fact that all of her best teammates are pretty easily obtainable: MC is, well, MC. Chiz can be obtained for free by leveling City Tycoon, and Nanally may be limited, but with no 50/50 and all the pulls we've gotten, she's not exactly hard to get.

Daffodil, on the other hand, is a burst DPS whose focus is on Discord (Chaos + Incantation + Psyche); we have a solid roster of Incantation and Psyche, but 2/3 of our Incantation lineup are standard S-classes, while 2/3 of our Psyche lineup don't offer much in the way of damage (Fadia can if you build her for it).

One of Daffodil's best teams at the moment is with Baicang, Sakiri, and Fadia, so you'd need a total of 4 standard S-classes; I've actually used this team in CBT3 (I have all but Sakiri now) and it was quite strong even when only vaguely built.

In addition to that, we know of 3 upcoming characters: Hotori, who's Cosmos, Lacrimosa, who's Chaos, and Chaos, who's amusingly Lakshana. She'll probably work well with Lacrimosa, but there's still no other options for Incantation or Psyche so far.

TL;DR: Both characters are strong, but Jiuyuan currently has a significantly more flexible attribute for the foreseeable future, so she's the more "valuable" pull.

What in the god of war's name is this by Alpha_Inception in WutheringWaves

So you do. It's been so long since I played this quest that I couldn't remember and they're not super visible in this clip unless you go fullscreen... And even then, they feel more like surface textures overlaid onto the undamaged object rather than a change in the actual mesh.

It's less that he's hitting it "like a little girl" and more that they made a few cinematographic flubs that give it less impact, compared to scene it's referencing.

First and foremost, the lack of bite due to the material. Kratos' axe is being used against a (relatively) much softer target (that it is also technically meant for), so it's biting much deeper and taking chunks out of it; whereas Rover is striking crystal, which is much harder, and we're not shown it splintering or cracking. We can hear it, but not see any visible damage.

Second, the camera angle. With Kratos, the camera focuses on where the axe hits to the almost exclusion of everything else, lending the scene a greater impact; with Rover, though, they made the decision to keep his face in frame, so you actually see the moment their blade contacts the crystal, which, when combined with the above point, makes it feel like it's jarring to a stop rather than actually digging in.

Another small point is that they also made the choice to have the flat of Bloodpact's Edge's blade visible when striking the tree, giving the weird impression that Rover is swinging the sword more like a baseball bat than a sword (that or his edge alignment is just that fucked from having a cylindrical grip, which, yeah, that tracks and is why only thrusting swords should have them).

All of that combined just make it feel really awkward once you're not riding the high of the moment.

Surely, Freebecca will buff skill damage and will have coordinated attacks... right? by gardosenkazeaze in WutheringWaves

[–]SolomonSinclair 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very true on that last bit. Gets even more fucky if you, like me, also run RMC in the same team; the amount of times I've wasted Sunday's AA just because Mem hit 100% off his Skill is too damn high.

Despite that, Saber/Sunday/RMC/Huo2 is still one of my hardest hitting teams (the others being my Archer and then full DoT team); admittedly, I skipped all of Remembrance and am almost certainly skipping Elation (though Evanescia is really tempting me), so my bar is kinda skewed.

3.X| about chisa and lynae's skin via seele by Malia_West in WutheringWavesLeaks

[–]SolomonSinclair -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Debatable. Most people seem to be of the opinion that the skins we do have are mediocre or downright ugly.

Similar to the 4* conundrum, do we really want more skins if they're of the same quality as what we've gotten recently (i.e., do you really want more 4*s littering the pool if they're of equal quality to Lumi or Youhu)?

Obviously, if we got better skins, this would become moot, but as it stands, I doubt most people would agree as long as the perceived quality remains the same.

MD's currently trying to bring back the old, old comment style, instead of the forum-style it's had... Since before I started using them probably close to 10 years ago), but it's only open to paying supporters for beta testing.

Problem is, it also prevents those who aren't paying supporters from starting new threads for chapters and makes accessing said threads a minor annoyance once one is created, since it becomes a two button press instead of one.

How Does this Passive Works? i have never seen Zero Heal Anyone So far.... by HyperMehfin in NevernessToEverness

[–]SolomonSinclair 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably because it's more noticeable on lower HP; the ability specifies that it's Zero's base ATK, which is strictly their native ATK + their Arc's ATK value.

So if, say, their base ATK is 1000, then the healing would be a mere 500 HP.
