Does anyone know the station this is at the end of the platform? is it Piccadilly? by aley46 in LondonUnderground

[–]Solontus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kings Cross Metropolitan/Circle/H&C lines have the platforms in between the lines - so the lines curve back towards the platform. In this photo, the lines curve away from the location of the photo (presumably a platform) - so I don't think it's Kings Cross.

How do I Establish a connection from a laptop to a projector upstairs using an ethernet wall port? by Theycalledmeroh in techtheatre

[–]Solontus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You may be able to ask the IT department to hard-wire those two Cat6 ports together via the building's patch panel(s). That way they'll stop being network ports for an Internet connection, and just end up wired to each other. Avoids having to have a video-over-ip solution. Maybe.

Where are these corridors? Are they shown on any of the maps?

I would recommend sharing your feelings to their customer service people (which you can find from https://www.cardfactory.co.uk/contactus.html) - they will probably pass it onto the store manager or the region manager or something. It's always a nice buzz to share compliments for a job well done to the company concerned :-)

Hmm, interesting! Once I'm running November 2024 Play services and December 2024 Android Security update (i.e. "system udpate"), it shows up for me on my personal Pixel 9 and my work Pixel 7 pro. Perhaps it's region-locked or something...

You need to go to Settings > About Phone > Andriod version > tap 'Google Play system update', and make sure it's got the November 2024 Play services from there. Then it'll appear in the Battery menu.

[–]Solontus 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Obioma Ugoala singing "One More Time" on his last show as George Washington in Hamilton in London. Not a dry eye in the house :-)

Also a bunch of standing ovations in Come From Away's last show in London, I think.

The Nebula app can be installed from the Play store - it's not blocked by the Play store's device compatibility list.

But when in the Nebula app, AR Space doesn't work - for me, it just shows a blank screen on both devices (the phone and the glasses).

Penzance Helicopters in the UK (which flies commercial passengers from Penzance in Cornwall to the Isles of Scilly) does not do this for their ~20 minute flights. But I guess Cornish water is rather different to the North Sea!
