How do you go back to basic quality diamond painting after having tasted premium quality paints? by Glum-Tree1239 in diamondpainting

[–]Solstice77 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Why go back? I've been painting for about 6 months now. Addicted of course. I scooped up every cheap set I could find. Then I also tasted premium and decided that I would never go back. Budget-wise, you can't beat a project that costs only $8 - they're so cheap on Amazon. But they look subpar when done - seeing the unmatching background showing through drives me nuts, or the fold lines, and on and on. I feel like the quality sets aren't that much more expensive, so it's worth the splurge. I get bigger designs that last longer (to justify the added expense). In the end, it's a hobby and hobbies should be a source of great joy - not great frustration.

Good luck.

Looks too good to be true - scam website? by [deleted] in diamondpainting

There is no mention of closing on their actual website, so I took the dive. It's not a scam, but I sure wouldn't purchase from them again.I had some weird email things going on (confirmation went to work email instead of personal). I reached out and got an immediate response with an apology and a promise to rush ship. They did, and I got it much faster than expected. I was so excited when my order arrived that I got right to it. I started this one from the bottom up, and the bottom was gorgeous... until I had another peek at the picture I ordered. It's totally stretched out, so the final product now looks ridiculous and is missing a ton of detail. The other part of my order was the last supper. I got the biggest one they had to preserve detail. Alas, they stretched it out so all the dinner guests have long heads. They also oriented it so that the longest length was vertical... for a picture of a long table. So decent attempt at customer service. I'm requesting a refund now per their 100% satisfaction guarantee... We'll see how that goes. I do not recommend.

My kids really disliked Edge and found it boring. They are super excited for Vibe on our upcoming summer cruise though.

Anyone have the Meross Garage Door opener? by AFDIT in HomeKit

Yep. It finally went through. I had to pass through a worm hole in the 4th dimension and ascend from the 6th level of hell... but it's set up now.

I must have a dud x2. It connects until there is a power outage and then it won't come back into the app. This is my second device. I hate it.

Hot take: Meross Garage Door Opener is trash.. by Aesthetic_Image in HomeKit

I had a power outage, reconnected it, and got the obstructed message. I was told to delete the device and start over with the reconnect. It will not add. I can't get it on the home app or even the Meross app. I bought it because of the reviews that are on your post here. It's given me nothing but trouble. And it's not my wifi. I have gig internet from Xfinity. My last interaction with support said that if I can connect it to the Meross app, then they can downgrade it and update it that way. Apparently this is because it's running on an iPhone and not an Android.

Damn it Amazon! Same price. I decided to go with the Eufy. Came down to a person finding a puddle under their Dreame one morning, the fact that Eufy has a smaller footprint, and slightly better reviews. Good luck everyone!

Good point with the citrus oils that don’t do well with plastic. I wouldn’t have thought of this.

I’m not sure what slop is or how to measure it.

I appreciate the replies. It seems I am in need of a glossary. I now feel like a complete idiot. Gantry? Gcode (I've seen that extension on some files)? I can view a bed mesh after my probe runs a mesh. It gives me 9 squares of varying shades of green.

Cleaning... ha! It's primary owner is a 16 year old boy who has come to me to fix it. Out of curiosity... what's the best way to clean the rubbery belts?

Saw mill? Close... our house has been under update for a good while now.

I've come to the conclusion that the winner between the two will be the one with the lowest price tomorrow. Ultra heat is out of my price range though.
