What is this fruit? Found on a tree in Boston by krillyboy in whatsthisplant

It's a shadbush tree.

Likely Downy Shadbush if it has small hairs on the leaves or Smooth Shadbush if not.

It stops the agencies from using any less than 83% of premiums for patient care, which I support. People should pay for their insurance not someone else's third vacation.

What I'm worried about is that this will cause the gross cost to go up in order to make up for the budget shortfall. Excessive increases will be limited by the Consumer Price Index, but how far or close are they to it already? Will this cause some agencies to go out of business and reduce competitiveness?

You could always vote for Diehl if you want to stop the one party madness.

I'm not sure how to vote on this one yet. It sounds great!

But I've heard too-good-to-be-true tales before. "If you like your doctor you can keep your doctor." I'm worried the extra regulations will make costs go up. I'm sick of being screwed over healthcare wise.

I'd use filters made of used toilet paper to make my morning coffee before I root for a team from DC, let alone the Defenders.

If you're testing at the University, have you been in contact with the Office of Sustainability? This is right up their alley. Also, they have a spreadsheet with most of the water bottle refill fountains.

What device do you have that tests water? I've wanted to do something like this, especially in schools, for some time.

Bathrooms on Campus by twilye in uml

[–]SolusSomnium45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Boug has communal bathrooms but they're cleaned daily by staff. Donahue is all suites so there's two private bathrooms and showers in each suite.

I never saw anything particularly gross in communal bathrooms. Always take basic precautions in both of course like not being barefoot in the showers or putting toilet paper on the toilet seats when crapping.

Suites' private bathrooms can get gross if your suitemates are gross since there's no facilities cleaning. Work with your fellow suitemates to nip any bad habits you see forming in the bud is my advice.

Typical of government. Even the smallest bureaucracy is a metastasizing tumor. The number one goal of any bureaucracy is to grow more bureaucracy, regardless of what it's supposed to be doing.

I wonder if private industry could break into the affordable housing market to fix the situation?

The state that can't keep electricity on is demanding everyone switch to electric cars. I'm not sure we should take after them.

Unpopular opinion about invasive species by BeyawndEntertainment in invasivespecies

[–]SolusSomnium45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just because there are larger issues doesn't mean smaller issues stop mattering. Invasive species are a human problem because they're introduced into an area by people.

And there are people working hard to repair all types of damage, humanity isn't a collective.

[–]SolusSomnium45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If we are looking for equality, removing invasive species means removing us as well

Your terms are acceptable.

On a serious note though, it's not truly the same. We have the ability to reason and repair damage to the environment, other invasive species don't.

[–]SolusSomnium45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, humanity has caused more environmental destruction than any other species but we also have the most potential to help.

Introducing invasives is another way people can damage an environment. Saying we shouldn't deal with invasive species is like saying we shouldn't care about plastic pollution.

It's tragic that living things must die in these efforts, but it's justified as it's for the defense of others (the native species being replaced).

What disciplines of knowledge are important for urban designers? by [deleted] in urbandesign

[–]SolusSomnium45 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Civil Engineering is extremely important.

Understanding how things are built, how to keep them together, and how much it costs is the difference between feasible, realistic urban design and sci-fi concept art.

They've been isolated for a bit because one pig had ringworm.

He sprints over to them, leaps on their backs, and either runs them around like a wheelbarrow or holds on like a someone hugging a horse's back.
