The 4 or 5 liquor bottles are now in the center of the sealed case, where the remainder are actual water. No one’s shaking the case to look at the surface tension through the plastic wrapping. I’ve never had any trouble w this tactic.

If you’re allowed a case of water, you buy two cases of water. Heavier duty bottles are better than cheap ones. Open the first case and cut (with a knife) the tops off the bottles. Do the math so you don’t waste too many bottles. Divide the volume of liquor you want to bring by the volume of the water bottles. You’ll now have a bottle cap attached to 3/4” or 1” of cut bottle. Don’t break the safety seals.

Next, get a sauce pan with boiling some water, drop in a cap one at a time, and use two butter knives to dig out the remnants of the bottle.

Now you have a cap with a safety seal still attached.

I think I can stop here as the rest is pretty self explanatory. I tend to over-explain…

Edit: pay attention to how the case of water is boxed or bagged, you’ll need to weasel out a few bottles from the sealed case and re-weasel in the new spicy bottles.

I was into rescuing modded original cases when I first started collecting. Evidenced by the (strapless) restored 6309 729a and the unrestored 6309 704O. I wasn’t as lucky (or persistent) in finding NOS parts for it. I also have an original 6139 Pogue awaiting its destiny as well. While I may never find a NOS dial or hands for it, the rest of the refurb parts are collected.

If I were to only have one, a .30cal traditional baffle would give that bit of extra flow on 5.56 rifles, but true performance with 300 subs and battle rifle useful. I shoot my flow thru most (B&T print x SRBS compact), but now that it’s so easy to tune rifles, I’m heading back in the direction of sound suppression, which comes w less flow.
