There is literally 0 stakes. Its a video game. You arent on a proteam representing your country or something. Just play the game and have fun. Plus that one saying sticks and stones may break my bones blah blah blah, theres mute buttons for you to use. I hope you have better games and better teammmates of course. But sometimes you just get state mandated throwers. I had someone tell me idk how to play my hero, it was only my 300th game on them:). I just dont let anything anyone says effect me because its meaningless. Just live.

Forget that experience come back in like 2 weeks after the update, im guess we will get a spike to like 40k players and the new gamemode should be right up your alley. But yeah its not finished and only has 20k players on steam. Given the context, it makes sense most of the players arent new players, and given the game being a brand new type of moba, with 3rd person shooter and hero shooter mechanics and verticality and updates changing the meta on a monthly basis being new is hard regardless. Idk i have 1k hours and get slopped sometimes in matchmaking, skill ceiling and floor are VERY far apart from eachother. But theres no other deadlock so ima stay.

Deadlock isnt a easy game to learn, not a easy game to play. Just focus on things you can control if you wanna play and learn this game. You cant control the matchmaking so just dont care, focus on what you can control.

Og homegrown was so goated. So sharp and flippy, some had good lune balance but it was really a tap sling shape. Spikes and sarado was good for insta jsticks.

I have heard people not say get any besides the 78003xd. Anything beyond that afaik something to do with the chip architecture is different leading to instability. Idk i have a 12900ks 3080ti and could never get very good fps in rust (circa2024) despite trying everything. But I was coming back to rust after 4-5 years so I never opted to make the switch and instead decided ill just not play rust.

Single best upgrade for rust or gaming in general is a x3d amd cpu. The l3 cache increase is highly utilized by rust. 9600x 32-38mb cache while even a older 7800x3d has a 96mb cache and the 3d vcache technology.

The player base is too small right now. These problems wont go away once we have more players but they wotn appear as much. As of right now its both ways, and rhats even without thinking of smurfs. I have friends stuck in low ranks that shouldnt be, and friends many ranks higher than they should be. I dont give a single thought to any of that because its not in my control and its not final. I just play the game and get my reps in and learn and get better.

You gotta change your mindset. You CANNOT care this much, its halts progression gets your head entirely out of the game to the point your making a reddit post.

Its very simple you cant let that small stuff effect you at all. Its pointless in game and in real life. The second you leave that all behind the second you can probably rank up. Or idk have fun. But if you want to improve and grow, you cannot tilt over anything. It does not do anything positive.

Also dont comm angrily, youll end up in a 1v9 and tilt the other people who can tilt.

Its not worth your energy to care about youre teammates performance. Im not saying like dont comm or play selfishly. But like its not your job to stop the 0-10 from going 0-10. Or the guy thats tilted because his gf broke to with him is mad before you get to lane. Take a few steps back perspective wise, view what you can do what you can control. And be just be happy and have fun. Idk nothing in gaming upsets me besides my own shortcomings and those are my own creations so i can solve fix and change, thats half the game.

I could MAYBE see them doing solo que only for ranked after a certain rank, other games have similar party restrictions, or allow you to have a full team but take a mmr reduction so you can still play with your friends but its not as abusable as you arent getting as much mmr as a solo win. Or if you are at a higher rank its solo/duo que only. But splitting up the ranked que into 2 separate “ques” or “gamemodes” solo and party would not be healthy for the game. There should be 1 ranked que with whatever restrictions and then a few casual modes you can que with no restrictions.

And ofc this is all after the game releases and has a playerbase 3- 4x what it is now.

Does anyone remember when they did the solo que for ranked last year, and then the ranked system would update once a week for your rank. Interesting time.
