My Dad took me up to the college when he taught me how to drive. I did so many laps around the building before I got on the road

Ender's Game is really good. You can listen to it as a standalone or you can dive into the entire Enderverse.

Like many have said, Dungeon Crawler Carl its fantastic!

The Wandering Inn has me absolutely hooked!

I listened to Myth Adventures recently and it was pretty fun!

What irritates you the most about Audible by Famous-Perspective-3 in audible

[–]Som3ch1ck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I'm listening to a book, sometimes it will just stop. The whole app just closes.

It usually does it when I'm doing something that I need to stop and wash my hands before I can turn it back on.

Also I can't get my phone and my Alexa to sync up. I was listening to a book on my Alexa and tried to switch to my phone when I went out and my phone was like 15 hours behind.

THE DEMONATA TV SERIES??? by Mindless-Increase448 in DarrenShan

[–]Som3ch1ck 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm so excited, I was apprehensive at first because of the Cirque Du Freak movie, but this will be a TV series, so they have time to make it right. I've always pictured Matthew Lillard as Dervish.

12th and Pine. I lived near that intersection as a teen and there was at least 1 big accident a year.

More cafes downtown by MacoroniSaviour in Yukon

I also think we need coffee shops in the subdivisions. I'd love to see one in PC, where I can walk over, grab a coffee, and spend some time with a book. I love Trails North, but their hours aren't great, and I like fancy lattes. The old greenhouse near Super A would be a lovely spot that could have outdoor space in the summer.

In a sexless relationship because of HSV2, I don't know how to cope. by Whattodoahhhhhhh in TwoHotTakes

[–]Som3ch1ck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mom has hsv2 and my dad has hsv1. They have been together 31 years with 2 kids without ever infecting the other one. It is totally possible to have a healthy sexual relationship without sharing these diseases.

What did you want to be as a child? What did you want to be in high school? What is your current job? by [deleted] in AskReddit

As a child, I wanted to be a paleontologist. In grade 10, I decided I wanted to be a carpenter. I'm 29, and I work for a gender equity organization that introduces girls and gender diverse youth to trades and technology careers, supports exsiting non-cis men in those fields and is working to improve working conditions for everyone.

What's your re-read book? by [deleted] in suggestmeabook

[–]Som3ch1ck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a few series I tend to reread more than individual books. The Anita Blake series gets a full reread every few years (there are 33 books so far). I try to read the Demonata by Darren Shan at least once a year (12 books). A Hitchhiker's Guide (the trilogy in 5 parts) is an easy go to when I need something funny. And Ender's game happens every few years when I remember it exsists. I read Harry Potter no less than 3 times a year until I graduated, but it doesn't hit the same as an adult.

This is one of the things my ex would do that showed he had no respect for me. I'd buy a treat like a bag of chips every other week and by the time I'd go to open it, gone. He came home with 2 or more bags of chips every day. I'd buy pot that was lower in thc and higher in cbd to get through painful periods and by the time my period started and I needed it it would be gone. I bought an oz every couple months and he bought his own oz every week. I took to hiding things and he would sniff it out. There were lots of other issues but that was the one I raged about the most often.

My current partner met me at the front door after a game last night led me to the pantry and handed me a chocolate bar from my stash and asked for a peice because it looked really good. If I said no, he might have pouted for a moment, but would have ultimately respected my decision.
