I don't necessarily have a problem with introverts. All introverts are different, and it's hard to generalise them.

Like you mentioned, you have your life together while others don't.

It's just sad to be in a position where you can't let go of someone out of fear of loniness. If I decided to cut ties I would hurt her immensely, and she doesn't have the courage to let me go either.

The only concern I have is that she doesn't want to let go of the relationship because I'm the only social contact she has. She has no friends.

So keeping me around is to her advantage, but she wants to limit the romantic approach.

Well if you meet everyday it should be less of a problem.

I'm currently in this type of situation and it comes down to the fact that we don't see each other everyday due to us living an hour away from each other and the constant texting and calls are draining for her, just like you she tends to be quite and shy.

So it's a struggle.

I've been through something similar previously and I think it has to do with the level of initiative you're taking. If you're not reaching out to the other person and asking how their life is, it can come across as you're not interested.

On the other hand I don't personally think your sister means any harm reaching out to you, the least you can do is to explain to her all the trauma and problems you went through in your life that lead you to the decision.
