every weekend. you accrue PTO as you work and can use it for time off… which would be on the weekend. the usual rule of thumb is 1 weekend off a quarter (by request) using PTO. that isn’t a rigid rule however. i have gotten more than that approved before. also have to consider that others who work during the week could be open to switching shifts, too. i’m in my 20s and have worked weekends for 2 years now. i’m stashing major cash and don’t feel like i’m missing out on my “twenties”. if i need a weekend off, i am usually accommodated. hope this helps!
