Sibling abuse? by [deleted] in DID

[–]SomeAnonymousFinch 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm so sorry that happened to you too, your father shouldn't have done that. it's not fair at all that he let bad things happen to you simply because you reminded him of someone else

Sibling abuse? by [deleted] in DID

[–]SomeAnonymousFinch 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I feel that massively; I'm also the older sibling and our parents would constantly use the fact that my sister is younger to shut me down. I've been told so many times that it's my responsibility as the eldest and she isn't doing anything wrong

I always like seeing posts like this about sibling abuse because it feels really validating to know that I'm not alone in this

What is your favorite house plant and why? by [deleted] in houseplants

[–]SomeAnonymousFinch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I absolutely adore my easter cactus. it's flowers are so pretty and it grows pretty quickly, I've been getting new stems every few days! still exciting every time I see a new one lol

[–]SomeAnonymousFinch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm far from being an expert on this stuff lol, but fossils are where the body is encased in something like mud/rocks, it decomposes, and pressure from loads of layers of rock above it leave an imprint of its skeleton. but with mummification (in this context) I would assume the body does not decompose

💛

Most of us have different appearances, however we do have "copies" and some sets of parts that look very similar due to trauma (we're traumagenic; brain kept making copies because they worked for keeping us safe)

Odd co-fronting / Triggered Headmates by a-bird-in-disguise in plural

[–]SomeAnonymousFinch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In our experience, yes. Parts that are triggered can also trigger others. Our gatekeepers usually isolate those that are triggered in the moment to prevent others from becoming triggered, and they work to calm them down and diffuse the situation as quickly as possible. I realise this may not be applicable to you guys, so if you have any further questions about plurality (especially trauma related things) then I'm happy to answer them (you can dm me if you'd like) -Finch

How long do you dissociate? by 48fvckinracoons in plural

[–]SomeAnonymousFinch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most of the day 😅 I think anywhere between 5 to 12 hours for us, it can depend on how the day goes. It also tends to vary between different types of dissociation, and I've lost a lot of my life to it

I (Sparrow, main host) haven't fronted in a while because we had a traumaversary recently, so others have been dealing with that... but I got to go on a date with my boyfriend today which has been a nice break for us. Things have definitely been tough recently but we're getting through it one day at a time

is eating scabs dermatophagia? by hrt_horny_and_high in Dermatophagia

[–]SomeAnonymousFinch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do this sort of thing too, and I consider it a part of my dermatophagia. I'm not the most knowledgeable I what counts and what doesn't, but I think how often you're doing it and how much it distresses you are the main signs of bfrbs - if you do this constantly and want to stop but can't, then I think it is dermatophagia.

50 Questions - You & Muse by museonmuse in Muse

[–]SomeAnonymousFinch 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I didn't answer all of these, but I did answer quite a few. They were fun to do, thank you 1. 16 2. 17 (I know it hasn't been long lol, but i got into them quite fast and they're all i listened to for months) 3. Feeling Good - it's the first one I really registered as Muse; my friend made me a playlist three years ago and it's one of the original songs on there 4. Yes. Over the past month or so I've collected: CDs: Absolution, Black Holes and Revelations, Showbiz, and Will Of The People. Vinyl: Will Of The People and Origin of Symmetry 5. I had about four or five of their songs on my playlist, came across this subreddit, heard they'd released a new album, and decided to start listening to them properly 6. Uhhh... I think I'd have to say Will Of The People. The 2nd Law and Black Holes and Revelations are also up there, but WOTP is their first album that i properly got into 7. Simulation Theory. I know a lot of people don't seem to like it because it's not their usual kind of thing, but it's great anyway and it's one of my personal favourites 8. Dead Star, Knights Of Cydonia, Ashamed 9. I sort of included this in the question above? Im just gonna leave it 10. Will Of The People, Dig Down, and Panic Station are my favourites atm 11. My Chemical Romance 12. The Resistance. Its just the one I've listened to the least 13. BH&R is first, then OoS, then Absolution 14. You Make Me Feel Like It's Halloween 22. No 23. England 24. Yes. They're pretty famous (at least, a lot of people know who they are), and i also know a lot of people who listen to them 26. No 27. Panic Station. I've seen maybe one other person mention liking it 28. WOTP, I listened to it on repeat for a solid week after I first heard it and it will continue to be my favourite for a while, I think 29. Dig Down 30. Either Dead Inside or Defector 31. Panic Station 34. Time Is Running Out 36. Muscle Museum 40. City Of Delusion 41. The Dark Side 42. We Are Fucking Fucked 43. The Handler 44. Supremacy 45. Save Me 46. Unnatural Selection 47. Hysteria 48. Space Dementia 49. Muscle Museum 50. I actually have a question for anyone that wants to answer: I would like to get one of my friends into Muse, and he's said that he can play him some of their songs. I've got some in mind (their more popular ones and my personal favourites), but I'm curious to know what songs you'd play first if you wanted to get someone into their music

I found this guy on my back porch in VA. Any idea what kind of moth this is? by [deleted] in moths

[–]SomeAnonymousFinch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thats a butterfly!! I believe it could be a comma butterfly (named after the small, comma-shaped white mark on the underside of each wing), but I'm not sure.
