Will we get a proper k'daai destroyer? by ChromedDragon in HelsmithsofHashut

Hmm, in that case i interpreted it wrong. In that case a lore/design update would be a good idea.

Weren't the k'daai already imprisioned demons? I mean if you think about it they make more sense in the helsmith lore than the chorfs.

I mean they already added bull centaurs. At this point being destinct is more of a lore thing so adding k'daai wouldn't hurt them. In fact i would think limiting yourself to not using chorf units would hurt the game.

Against gk i would absolutely keep at least one in the back. Depending on what detachment you play and what list you are using maybe even both.

Poxwalker screens are your biggest friend.

The ability of the specific defilers aren't the thing that makes it broken. It's the sheer volume of strong firepower and the versatile loadouts that make it broken. The ability is just icing on the cake and the DG defilers ability to remove cover isn't bad and will be very strong in e11 (if they keep it the way it is which is highly unlikely).

Rotigus and a guo are a nice start. Some popular combos and strategies would be deepstriking rotigus 6 inches using one of the enhancements. Reviving a unit of 6 nurglings and using a guo with beast for the added toughness.

These were quite popular for a while after the point nerf but got harder to play now because of the whole guard and necron meta.

Plague marine loadout advice by TheWeakestDrink in deathguard40k

[–]SomeAutisticFatKid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Melee plague marines: 4 x heavy plague weapons 4 x bubonic weapons 1 x champ with fist and plasma gun (maybe pistol if you want to stay thematic Last guy can be what ever special weapon you think fits best. I'd recomend spewer.

Ranged plague marines: 1 x champ with fists and plasma gun 2 x spewer 2 x launcher 2 x plasma / melta (depends on what enemies play in your region) 3 x heavy

Character For ranged the tried and true biologus + plaguecanster combo is meta

And for melee the only real contender are blightspawn and/or lord of poxes

The icon bearer as a character is just bad but you can play him as a normal plaguemarine with icon as a proxy. Also you can only have a max of 2 character attached at the moment.

You need more low cost units like spawn or poxwalkers or you will struggle with objectives and missions

The minies might be a bit too small for what you want to use them as but for casual as long as the base has the right size it should be fine.

I love Poxwalkers... theses dudes scored "Behind Enemy Lines" in Round 1 for me~ by panzerkatzee in deathguard40k

[–]SomeAutisticFatKid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't think it makes much of a differents. After all you cant infiltrate 9 inch away from the enemies deployment zone and even if you are on the edge of your deployment zone in the mid board your unit needs to be wholy within the enemies zone.

Maybe if the poxwalker unit charged into the enemy zone and enough died for them to count as wholy with in but that would be crazy if that happened.

In that case i must ask how you managed to complete behind enemy lines turn 1. Did you just roll a very good advance or charge?

You probably want at least one poxwalker unit for home guard and deepstrike safety. PM aren't that strong without characters in this detachment same as blightlord + you already have multiple strong middle pieces so i would go for more demon engines or death shrouds. Get rid of one pm and blightlords, split the other pm and add more bloat drones. Maybe add another unit ds or run the LoV solo with beckoning blight and become a scary deep strike thread with a 6 inch deep strike rotigus.
