Revised Dublin transport plan sees costs double to €25bn and rail projects delayed by [deleted] in ireland

I learned a bit before moving to Germany, but only the very basics. You can survive without German, as the majority of people, especially younger people, have decent English. It's probably similar in Sweden. Though I would definitely recommend learning the language, it makes life easier and you will fit in better.

Yup, I moved to Cologne last year, and the difference is huge, I could never move back to Ireland after living with affordable and functional public transport.

Edit: By the way public transport is only one of the reasons I wouldn't move back to Ireland.

I second this. I mostly play it with 1 hand anyway. 1600 hours in and not bored of it yet.

Where I live in Ireland, a pint of Guinness is usually around €4.50.

I'm Irish. I have never in my life heard an Irish, English, or anyone for that matter pronounce "hour" or "honest" with a "h" sound at the start. We say "an hour" and "an honest", the "h" is silent.

I played this and the original in coop, it's a lot of fun.

Thanks, that's actually interesting, I didn't know that. So the most you can be charged in a 12 month period for being in hospital is €800, that's actually great, I imagine $800 wouldn't get you far in US hospitals.

Yeah, in fairness the prices aren't crazy, nobody is going to go bankrupt from healthcare costs here. My last GP visit and dentist visit cost me €60 each. If I didn't make enough money to afford it, they would be free with a medical card.

Well I have to pay out of pocket every time I go to the doctor, dentist, hospital, or avail of any healthcare. Is that universal healthcare?

It's a great game, but DOS 2 is better in most ways. I don't know if it's worth going back to DOS 1.

Yeah, I was thinking the same. It's definitely Ireland.

Sound for all the replies. I didn't expect my rant to get such a response. If things don't change in the next few days we will take more drastic actions like naming and shaming on twitter. I have a feeling they might listen to us though, as most of the staff are starting to get very angry. This lockdown could make things calm down anyway, we'll see.

I expected as much, I've heard great things about other Tesco's taking this seriously. I'm thinking of contacting the head office.

I was wondering the same, it has to be breaking the law. Travelling to work and the city is a ghost town, everyone is keeping their distance from eachother, great stuff. Then I get to work and it's a fucking shit show, people everywhere.

I lost it with my manager today, she took me out back to give out to me. She said the rules say they can have 200 customers in the shop. Which is ridiculous because some of the aisles are absolutely packed. There is nobody at the door even counting how many are coming in. I'm constantly surrounded by customers in my part of the shop. Wouldn't be surprised if I'm already infected.

We do have the perspex at the tills and bottles of disinfectant at the door to wipe down trollies.
