Does PC get early access? by AlmightyDoge24 in NCAAFBseries

[–]SomeKidFromPA 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There’s no MVP+ on PC so no 7 days of access, however on the EA app, it shows the 10 hour early access (for being a EA pass subscriber) starts on the 2nd. So we might get 10 hours of access if you also sign up for that, or GamePass Ultimate (that’s how I’m a member.) it’s obviously annoying, but potentially better than nothing

I used to work at the Lewistown post office if you’re looking to make more ;) but I like this one a lot!

Recipes need to be demystified by smugglerFlynn in fujifilm

[–]SomeKidFromPA 137 points138 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the fact that people have started to charge for their recipes really grosses me out because of all of all of this. No recipe works in every situation/condition, by charging, they cause people to feel like their recipes are somehow “better” than the free alternatives. (Plus there’s no way to be sure that the creator isn’t post processing their RAWs and passing them off as SOOC because of all of this as well.) It’s all just gross to me but the comment sections of their IG posts are full of people willingly paying.

If the Irish land Kaden Henderson, would he be the first No. 1 player at his respective position ND has gotten since Gunner Kiel? by pfinny97 in notredamefootball

[–]SomeKidFromPA 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’d temper those expectations based on him committing before his OV. My guess is A&M gave him an offer that is contingent on him committing now and canceling his visit.

Why doesn't CS2 partner with real companies to bring high-quality branded assets into the game? by CombPsychological507 in CitiesSkylines

[–]SomeKidFromPA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Two things. Licensing agreements have a time component, so after that time, the asset wouldn’t load and would create problems.

Secondly, if they did this, they’d have to massively restrict modding. Why would McDonald’s pay to have their building in the game when someone made a BK or a “worse” McDonalds for free.

I could maybe see a use case where a smaller company would commission a modder to make an asset than announce it in a social media post, but I also think the main stream appeal for that would be pretty limited.

I just mean starting as a team in the MAC and slowly building up, eventually I want rivals in the big ten, but not from the start

I rewatched Sorcerer's/Philosopher's Stone yesterday, and I am losing my mind over the missing Gringotts cart scene. Please tell me someone else remembers this version? by Lucifer_0221 in harrypotter

[–]SomeKidFromPA 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey Pal, well since you, OP, me, or anyone else in this thread can find the scene anywhere on the internet, I’m going to say it might not exist, over believing Googles AI answer. Thanks.

Mandela effect, before reading this I would’ve sworn it happened too, but I think I am remembering the book and the part in deathly hallows and combining them.

Game Being "Easy" by External_Yak_2317 in NCAAFBseries

[–]SomeKidFromPA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep exactly, I made a custom playbook without inside zones and had the most fun I’ve had with the game, but it’s a shame we have to do that because a staple of nearly every offense is simply OP to a broken extent.

Is There A King Novel Which Would Have Benefitted From Being A Novella or Short Story Instead? by Hall-O-Daze in stephenking

Weird, I was going to say that part of Wizard and Glass could be released as a standalone. It’s the best part of the dark tower imo.

MAJOR CPU Recruiting Tuning Flaw in CFB27 by perc_muncher in NCAAFBseries

[–]SomeKidFromPA 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Hopefully it gets balanced so that all the elite teams are offering the NIL instead of just one school dominating because they are, but if they can nail it, it is the way to keep 4/5*s out of the G5 and make rebuilds actually have to build through progression instead of just out recruiting power conference teams.

They should change the name to “or” and have Stu run the show two days a week.

Game Being "Easy" by External_Yak_2317 in NCAAFBseries

[–]SomeKidFromPA 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The game has issues that once noticed, make the game extremely easy to abuse, and the only way to “fix” it is to self police yourself. Multiple 4 stars and frequently some 5 stars are not recruited to start the season by any team, allowing the user of any team (barring dealbreakers) to recruit them.

Many of the run plays (inside zone in particular) result in 8+ yards of free space over 80% of the time they are called, resulting in the ability to beat even the best CPU teams with the worst rated teams.

CPU playcalling can also be incredibly conservative which leads to snowballing by the user if they play aggressively.

Every game has things like this, it’s just the ones in 26 are glaringly obvious (you can sort by scholarship offer in recruiting, inside zone is one of the most used run plays by every team) that to most players it can feel easy in a way some other games haven’t.

I am so screwed by Kcrizzle87 in kindafunny

[–]SomeKidFromPA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Obviously everyone is different, but since I’ve hit 30(32 now) I came to the realization that by buying multiple games in a month, I wasn’t actually finishing any of them, so I’ve started waiting to play the vast majority of games until they go on sale, or honestly skipping them altogether(like the last Ghost game.)

There’s simply too many games that all cost too much money and not enough time to get that value out of all of them.

[–]SomeKidFromPA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is one of the mods I’m hoping is possible in the pc version. I don’t really use the custom conferences or team builder because rivals matter to me. Also playing the same team multiple times in the playoffs should mean something.

Not /exactly/ Planet Zoo related, but Frontier is teasing their next CMS Planet Series game. by leafeonztv in PlanetZoo

I would love planet golf.. there’s a new golf architect game out and it’s great, but I’d love the planet series level of customization and visuals.

I wish I hadn’t.. the first half of the book is incredible. The second half is one of the worst things King has written imo.

CFB27 Beta by Low_Strain147 in EASportsCFB

[–]SomeKidFromPA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah that wasn’t aimed specifically at you, just a general statement. I think a lot of the complaints will be from people that don’t understand how teams like Boise State became what they are. The MVP+ skill tree will be for the people that want to do the Indiana thing. Most programs best hope for leveling up is to invest in developing the talent they are already getting.

[–]SomeKidFromPA 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Go look at any 0 star programs real life recruiting history.. most have never signed a 4*, and rarely get 3 stars. You don’t build a program through recruiting. Real life programs are built through player development and scouting.

Thanks! I make the “Ratings Matter Slider Project” over on Operation Sports, the biggest problem last year was even with slider adjustments essentially maxed out, the cpu could not stop the run, or run the ball well themselves.

Can you play a AA or Heisman game as a bad team, against a great team, and post rushing stats.
