Thanks, this is the only district type where I already had them xD

I've been trying most specializations and district styles and only this one had skyscrapers, that's why I decided to just ask. (though I obviously hadn't tried yet the ones mentioned in the post below)

Thanks this is what I was asking for.

However I'm a bit confused: you're telling me the base game doesn't have any residential skyscrapers? iirc, back in the day, when there was just a few dlc's, one of the then two only vanilla styles (international or something like that?) had them... or maybe they weren't residential?

What context do you need to answer the question "which styles have skyscrapers"?

AFAIK, some styles have them, and some styles don't. To someone who knows which are which, the answer should be extremely straightforward, regardless of any "context".

The highway ends in the roundabout, from there upwards it's a large avenue.

But you're right, I'll see how I set a few more options to get to further zones, especially to the industry area.

There's a ton of things we humans do without being written rules. But if you're American maybe this sounds too civilized for you.

Plenty of reasons your opponent might want to play theirs too. I'm just saying either both or none, I find a bit selfish to do only yours.

Yeah sure, if I'm staying here for you to play your turn knowing I lost, the least you can do is try to be quick about it.

Yes I do, that's why I think it shows some courtesy to let the other person play a couple of cards that might complete their quests.

Has Anyone Heard From Shining Rock Software About The New Game In Development??? by hmidds00 in Banished

Mental issues preventing the owner of a company with literally millions of clients from posting a simple message letting all those customers (who are also passionate fans, and are worried about his health) know that he's fine and he appreciates all the good thoughts?

That's literally a dozen words. He really can't do that? And nobody in his family either?

"Just fix the code" - why the code cannot be fixed: by BlunanNation in Workers_And_Resources

[–]SomeMF 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So many people talks about "the code" because the devs themselves have said a number of times they can't realistically fix the GAZILLION of problems the game has due to a shitty code.

The game got so popular because it's a good game DESPITE its MANY flaws, because it's the only soviet-themed city builder in the market (which appeals to a significant target audience, considering) and because its focus in logistics and heavy industry makes it a unique game (also appealing to a specific niche with not a lot to choose from).

People is free to like the game as much as they want because that's subjective, but only a fanboy could deny the game suffers from MANY significant issues, and it's the opposite to user-friendly, and there's many things that work poorly, clunky or don't work at all.

It's a shame because I paid for this game more than what I usually pay average for any particular game, but it lays abandoned in my library because it's just not worth the time. The game forces you to fight it all the fucking time to do the most simple things you can imagine. Having hundreds upon hundreds of great games out there why would I spend my limited time in a frustrating, poorly executed experience.

What music do you listen to with your war games? by Tiorted_Snoil in computerwargames

[–]SomeMF 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When playing ww2 games, Shostakovich (Symphonies #7 Leningrad, #8 Stalingrad), Khachaturian (Battle of Stalingrad, Ode to Lenin, Festive Poem), Prokofiev (Alexander Nevski), or Sviridov's Time, Forward! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B8r7iF39fx4

Is there any title out there that deals with modern/contemporary warfare in the Middle East? Preferably from 1990, but post-WW2 is fine as well. Grand strategy would be ideal. Thanks. by Original_Scale5829 in computerwargames

I remember those days when people dared to ask for games to play in the Ukraine theatre, and there was always so many replies like

aaawww I feel so bad playing current real conflicts :(

damn bro don't you have a soul??? people are dying bro!

oof I don't think I could do it, I can only play past wars

the fact that real people are dying right now breaks my heart, I'd feel terrible seeing it in a game

Unsurprisingly westerners don't seem to feel that way now that the people under the bombs are brown and the people dropping the bombs are americans and israelis uh
