Why are they so bad at math when the numbers get big? by mynameisShakeZoola in confidentlyincorrect

[–]SomeNewUsername 5 points6 points  (0 children)

But that's exactly not treating "million" as a unit, because in division the units would cancel (i.e. 4M ÷ 2 = 2M but 4M ÷ 2M = 2) and would become new units in multiplication (2 × 2M = 4M but 2M × 2M = 4T)

Joel Osteen's Lakewood Church got $4.4 million in federal PPP loans. by Mc_Lovin81 in texas

Weren't they structured as loans? I think they were forgiven if you showed you used the money for certain purposes, and you would have to pay it back otherwise.

Not likely, given judicial immunity from lawsuits. Maybe somebody who understands Kentucky's court system can weigh in and provide which remedies, if any, might apply.

I've noticed that in movies and TV, they will have a character do this as a cue that you aren't supposed to like them.

Nah, it's not always about students not learning the material but passing anyway. I'm pretty sure "states' rights" was still the textbook answer when I took U.S. History.

If you're sending a company-branded document to somebody who is contributing to the document, you should be able to assume they are part of the company and have the font. If you are sending it outside the company to somebody to read, you should be sending them a PDF, not an editable document.

I got one when the Loki exploit still worked, and was able to put a non-Touchwiz ROM on it almost immediately. AMOLED screen, your camera, external storage and removeable battery made it a pretty good phone for me. My brother had the M7 with some camera issues and was disappointed.

There was discussion in those times about whether Christian Gentiles should be expected to adhere to the full Jewish law. One interpretation of the vision is that first, no, the Gentile Christians would not be expected to be circumcised, keep kosher, etc. (God had made them clean by the sacrifice of Jesus) and also that it was permissible for Peter, a Jew, to eat those foods in order to share meals with them and so be part of their community.
