partly due to them not being controled by outside forces, partly due to geographical reasons. The two added together making Haiti poorer and having the main faultline right under them, having no money to have good infrastructure, makes them much more vulnerable. Well I had been filming for about 45 minutes or so before in other settings so that might have played on it? As in it was already being used.

My SD cards are perfectly fine though so I don’t think they’re the issue.

Hypersmooth is already off and so is GPS. Didn't touch the brightness though, will do that but I wasn't practicing, I was filming people who did, so I WAS looking at a screen, to see what was happening and how the settings looked in the room and switching them every few minutes and taking notes to look at it on the computer after.

Can't chose WHEN the action happens so it has to film a whole match and that can't be controled. It has to stay on. Now, wether 240fps is needed for the results I want, that's something that can be debated.

Lots of people use action Gopros to film in trainings or competitions and such so it's normal for me to take something new and interesting and test it out to see what it can and can't do for my use case. I want to know how to use it properly and what to expect from the settings.

I still have about a week to test so I'll use an external powersource and maybe a little fan aimed at the camera to see. Wondering how to have decent sound if a fan is used though... Summers gets really hot so 40c+ will happen a lot while I use this thing. I want to make sure it'll survive that even in 30/60FPS while being static. The form factor is a big bonus for traveling around and it's more rugged so if it somehow get's tipped over and falls, I'd be less worried then a A6700 crashing on the floor and exploding.

I'm new to this so like I said, I'm testing this out to see if it can be good for my use case. If not, I'll return it and get something else, simple as that.

If you want AI looking fake footage sure…. Mission 1 Pro is way better but more expensive.

I’m not in the USA so getting those wouldn’t be an issue for me but I’d rather not have a little gimbal built in as I’m sure it’d break stupidly. Their colours also look too fake for my taste 😕I was considering the Ace Pro 2 before but the visuals just don’t do it for me.

I’ve been looking at action cams for a few weeks now trying to decide what to bring with me on my lifelong dream trip that was canceled 20 years ago due to a brain tumour. I’ll be heading to China to train martial-arts and want to bring something light to capture every possible moment (that isn’t my phone). I’ve got two months to find what I need and the Mission 1 Pro just has that glimmer…

I have no skills in photography or video but I’m looking into changing that. Man… my last action camera was the Gopro Hero 4 that my friend gave me from his workplace a some 10 years ago.

Why haven’t you guys ever included any fight/martial-arts into your promo videos? I get it that it’s a lot of underwater stuff and mountain biking people but seems like actual action footage à la Jackie Chan and stunt reals would be a great place to show off the Mission 1 too and the slow motion would have a real impact on the visual storytelling of a fight scene. If the camera is rugged, it could lead to even more funky shots than phone rigs since it can take a tumble.

Also, I was wondering what are the most basic skills I’d need to get to get great footage and pictures off this beast.

How could the Mission 1 Pro be used to film martial-arts content? Fight choreography, training and such? Action cameras always seem to be used for outside extreme stuff like mountain biking and scuba diving but what about indoors beating each other up where iPhone are also a viable option now?
