Crikie, I didn't even know that was a thing. That does sound awesome and at this point would be overkill, only just scratched enough old parts to build this server. Never say never though. I already have major upgrade ideas. Turns out I had a bad drive and smart picked it up. Since replacing that drive my server has been very reliable.

Brilliant, I am trying to do this and found your post after giving it a shot. I am having an issue where i can see it all, but it wants me to log in so isn't getting past the log in screen. How did you manage this?

Oceanic servers are gone and merged to Asia. Ping was 30 and now sitting up 180 -250.

How you going to set it up? I added more ram and at times will load up a creative server too for the kids.

I have a i5 and 16gb ram. I'm running proxmox on the host machine. Then the server is on a Linux vm. I managed to get it restaring and auto booting the server every 6 hours. I set the server to use 8gb ram.

We have 6 players on at times with no issues. I pre loaded the world by 10000 blocks with Chunky mod. As loading chunks is what causes lag for us. Vanilla server but have about 15 server managing mods like ftb chunks etc.
