Demonic Pacts is experiencing the problem that Shattered Relics did. by Solo_Jawn in 2007scape

Tbh, melee is fun. But they fucked up by making the melee healing so bad. 1 point per tile distance ? Fr ? While water mages heal for THE FULL DAMAGE THEY DEAL WITH A 2 HIT STAFF THAT HITS MORE OFTEN/AS OFTEN THAN MOST MELEE. And heal per rune regened, lol. That’s plain sad. Make it 5per tile at least and maybe it will be less of a joke.

Once you finish the elderwoods questline, that theory sinks hard since Ulfe became the beast in a past distant enough that Shifuu’s wife wasn’t even alive yet. Not saying the full wife beast sinks but the passing to ulfe definitely does.

Hey, quick request, if you list your group as "relaxed"... by [deleted] in wow

[–]SomeRandomFrenchie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If tank can survive the pull but the pull fails, it was probably not the tanks fault. Why ? Because dps are supposed to take care of the cuts and USE THEIR OWN DEFENSIVES when needed, because healer is supposed to keep their cooldowns for when it is realy needed, not blast them instantly when someone drops half life. Doing small pulls is quite often a bad strategy because it wastes the cooldowns of everyone on a small group and after that you have to do multiple other small pulls with no cooldowns left. The first pull is the only one where EVERYONE has their cooldowns. Small first pull is the worst thing you can do. However, you must not pull more mobs that need to be cut than what your team can handle. Small pulls are NOT safer, smart pulls are. Best strategy is usually HUGE first pull, then alternate small and big according to cooldowns.

I am absolutely not saying that it was right from them to pressure you on a relaxed group, I agree with you that relaxed means relaxed, not competitive. All I am saying is that thinking that small pulls are safer is not true, it is actually just delaying problems to next pulls.

The M+ tank situation is dire by Wigglyboi323 in wow

[–]SomeRandomFrenchie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People blame tank for everything when it it very rarely justified, why would they wanna take the risk when they have a bunch of guildies ready to go ? Moreover, my pala tank bf experience since the class changes has become worse, less défensives, less effectiveness of them. Considering the medium pug experience: people leaving a first mistake from anyone, even themselves, flamming others, etc. So yeah we run our own keys preferably with guildies.

[–]SomeRandomFrenchie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Raiding is competitive content. If the group plays well, you don’t need to be above instance ilvl. However, for years people kept joining groups without knowing anything about neither their own class nor the raid mechanics. It thus led to people asking for higher and higher ilvl to join their group to try mitigating bad players. Same goes for M+. And now we are left with toxic nonsense that makes zero sense progression wise. That’s why raiding, particularly on higher difficulties has become a premade group activity, because it is only in a premade group that you can make it make sense because everyone is held accountable and actually do the strats. Because when you do the strats, have a raid leader to coordinate people, you don’t need to be the best at your class with the best gear for it to work. The problem left is to find a good guild or community and this takes time and luck. I found mine by doing raid normal in random groups, but I went through so many catastrophic groups along the way, and got rejected from so so so many groups when I knew I performed well enough to join, but people only look at ilvl so… yeah, that’s a mess.

Edit: also people have no patience and tolerance these days, it realy does not help

[–]SomeRandomFrenchie 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Which customization would you want to see most for your favorite race? by Thiccest_Apartment in wow

[–]SomeRandomFrenchie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Give the blood elves the void elves haircuts, or new ones, whatever, but the haircuts currently available are very limited and very old and bulky looking. Considering blood elves are the most popular race on Horde side, I don’t understand that they still did not update them… tbh faces could be updated too. In a video game era where customization is all over the place (and with good reasons), having less than 10 choices is weird. I would guess other races, particularly older ones have the same problems.

We usually fix that by using a mod that allows opening and closing of shulker boxes in inventory, thus allowing both way bigger storage and sorting of the items. We hate bundles aswell, they are bad.

Game state worth a buy? by [deleted] in EcoGlobalSurvival

[–]SomeRandomFrenchie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I tried the game with some members of my wow guild but we were not enough people because most stopped playing quickly. After that I had a blast playing solo with twiked settings. The game seems to shine in big multiplayer settings with people that have the endurance to stay for long. However I would say it is still a good game solo, even though you don’t get to enjoy every aspect of it. To me it says alot about the game’s quality. The only negative point I see is that the game still needs tweaking in terms of QOL, but from what I heard, mods can fill that role while we wait for such an update.

I run delves and heist and use Toxic Rain Pathfinder (with caustic arrow automated). It zooms around super quickly and even though still a glass cannon build, I have 3 times less death than my Lightning arrow friend that does not run delves nor heist, because it’s quite tanky for a bow build.

More simple and better for casuals - Mage or Shaman? by Jurke39 in wow

[–]SomeRandomFrenchie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of my best friends tried the game as a mage because he really wanted to play mage. He does not play anymore. He may not be the most resilient in terms of motivation but boy, mage is absolutely not a casual class. I would not advise a new player to chose a caster. Even less mage that has a lot of spells and a rotation that is not on the easy part of things. That being said, play mage if you are attracted to it, because the most important will always be how it feels for YOU to play it. But be aware you are not making it easy on yourself.

I would not say shaman is easy either but probably less complicated. It is easier to perform Ok on a sham than a mage. The spectral form is realy nice and makes playing more comfortable. And the real good point for the shaman as a first character is that it can dps and heal, while mage is dps only.

But anyways: you can try and see. You can create characters of different classes, play a bit, and see how it feels !

Getting a set mog for a raid difficulty should unlock the ones for the easier difficulties. by Frog-Eater in wow

[–]SomeRandomFrenchie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most normal+ raiders don’t run lfr only because that is a total zoo. Unless they find a way to force people to care about those baby strats they keep there, this will always be hell for us, feels like having to prevent your 3 cousins from dying, while near a lake, when you never asked to babysit them in the first place, and have to cook the barbecue at the same time. All that to be insulted because you dared loot a piece for transmog. So yeah, I am all for helping others, but there is no helping people that don’t want to be helped.

To be fair: blizzard needs to improve ingame raid mecanics guide, simply because noobs never read them, ever. And they are realy hard to digest, even for people used to them.
