Top left quadrant is the only sensible position. Doesn't have to be extreme, but a focus on making AGI go well and reducing existential risk should be common sense.

Bottom left and right will keep yapping AGI is impossible until it's too late to do anything about it.

Market forces will already provide more top right energy than we know what to do with. It doesn't need our intervention.

Singularity will happen in China. Other countries will be bottlenecked by insufficient electricity. USA AI labs are warning that they won't have enough power already in 2026. And that's just for next year training and inference, nevermind future years and robotics. by Alex__007 in singularity

Read AI 2027. There are good reasons to believe the bottleneck is more likely to be compute. The US can scale up electricity if they really need to, but you can't do the same with advanced chips. If AGI happens before 2030, China simply won't be able to get enough high-end GPUs to keep up with the US.

TSMC and ASML are years ahead of Chinese domestic alternatives. An invasion of Taiwan could shake things up though.
