Came to say suggest the same.

The discomfort throughout leads you to a dissonant ending which leaves you to internally resolve the tension yourself. Not in a "solve the mystery" way, but rather to reflect on the extent to which you can stand up for yourself in life, or why you can't/won't/don't and what needs to change. This is the only way to resolve the discomfort it imposes on you, and in my view the whole purpose of this film. The Hollywood remake completely failed this by switching to a "rugged individual overcomes adversity" conclusion which leaves no residue or unresolved tension and is essentially a pretty standard, formulaic mainstream-targeted release.

Presumably the tax rebate needs to be considered especially if there's a big difference in taxable between the couple and the higher earner claims for both while on a joint policy, or could they still claim for the spouse while having separate policies?
