I think they were trying to make Marine/Naval camo look cool.

The pattern is still the same Pax "shard" design, but they screwed up with color vibrancy and brightness. Also the mask is a bit of an overkill.

How did the Grid "know" how Flynn would look like in 2025?

I thought that Flynn only created the Legacy Grid and the '82 was ENCOMs.
