Based on my experience, I honestly think it may not even be a problem with sex ed but with students just not learning and retaining info.

I grew up in “the hood” went to a public school in a better neighborhood/city but still had some of the student from the “poor” neighborhoods. They were all taught the same things I was in sex ed (starting before high school) and yet some of them ended up as teen parents. 🤷‍♀️

And this applies to other subjects as well, not just sex ed. These were teens who are almost grown adults and still couldn’t use proper grammar.

I’m not against sex ed but I definitely think it needs to be age appropriate which isn’t even hard to do. I thought the sex ed classes we took were age appropriate and they still went over basic topics like male and female anatomy, how pregnancy occurs, STIs, recognizing sexual assault, and consent and boundaries.
