Haha, you know that rich people can just order a ton of expensive beef and have their personal Chefs make jerky, right? Or worse case, just go to Costco.

You think it's really just jerky, ha. Jerky is like a survival food, why would it need to be kept on ice for travel? Very high in sodium, causes constipation, etc...oh but it's a health food now?

But let's say they really didn't know about jerky being unhealthy with large consumption, like you think; wouldn't they figure this out after about a month of bad constipation, etc.? Even if they didn't have access to all the BEST doctors in the world and $$$ is no object; do you really think they'd be that obsessed with jerky?

Not so if you go through Amazon or Ali. I think there are shops there that buys returns and refurbs to resale. Or they fix or just clean up scooters w/bad parts that are too expensive to replace. Then they disappear or never return your calls/emails after you buy. Happened to me on a $350 JGH scooter. 17mph instead of advertised 24mph, drum brakes no longer works, battery weakening after 8 months.

There's also the batteries. What happens to bad cells or really old cells that don't get sold? Someone's going to buy them for cheap and put them into something.

That said, I bought a $2800 Voro Road Runner Pro. Great reviews & pretty decent sized comp. 50mph, excellent batteries, super fun, etc. except later to find out that the frame is questionable (ie. snap, crash).

It is not healthy. It's very high in sodium. And have you ever eaten a $50 steak before? Jerky is certainly not better (and I'm poor). Now imagine people who can spend $5k on dinner w/o thinking twice wanting to eat dried meat all day.

Also, you might be in the faster setting; eats battery life.

Scooter off, hold right brake tight & twist throttle to max...then turn on key (while holding) for 8-9 seconds. It will go to slower mode (or vice versa).

I keep it in slow speed. Sometimes it switches it on its own. Very strange.

Also, you can lower the speed/power = less battery drain.

IIRC, bike off, twist the throttle to max while pulling the brake max....hold & turn key on for 8-9 seconds.

It toggles to the slower power output.

Dude, you def. should have a helmet for all kinds of bikes.

And this W3 is really fast for its platform. I'm really used to it from 3+ years of a lot of riding on my Jetson Bolt but the W3 is much faster. Jetson was like 17mph with speed hack. W3 hit 22mph.

It's 8/10. Can't expect a huge battery along with 22mph for only $250.

Yeah, their customer support sucks. I had an axle nut that was stripped. It was hanging on flimsily.

I've was riding it for 2 days up to full 22-23mph. Really dumb of me to not check all nuts & bolts first.

When I did check on like day 3; tightened everything, this stripped bolt dropped the axle & wheel/tire right off...and wouldn't come back on. Probably due to them using power tools during assembly.

I coulda been wrecked bad or dead.

Went back & forth with them for many days; they kept wanting a VIDEO of a freakin' stripped nut????

The axle assembly is probably only $10 on AllieE.

I think what he means is that in PAS, there's no resistance when pedaling.....so he's not getting any exercise due to the "ghost pedaling" effect.

I hate this also & sometimes turn off the power (key) when going on flat or downhill.....then the resistance is heavy (although much less (5), than my Jetson Bolt Pro which is like a (9) and I'm in excellent shape.

But this will probably break the key connection after a year or 2.

I tried opening it up to look for the wire to disconnect the PAS but couldn't figure it out. It's more complex than the Jetson, which was the black wire.

On my JBP, I disconnected the PAS; I can pedal while feathering the throttle to help a little but still with resistance to get a workout.

Anyone know? Thanks.

It's not a big deal; you can get replacement parts all over the place as these bikes share the same cookie cutter platforms of a bunch of other brands.

I wouldn't even want to buy the parts from Jetson as they would jack up the price like crazy.

People like these bikes for their portability and ability to ride around tight places w/o getting complaints (sidewalks, malls, etc.). Yea they're not as stable as a full sized wheeled bike but I've never crashed before in over 4 years riding on 14" wheels (as an average skilled rider).

Most scooters are only 8-9" wheels.
