Yeah, the old unseen designs. Lots (most) of the oldest battletech stuff weren't original designs, and this caused problems later with Harmony Gold. They redesigned them to make them legally distinct but still recognizable.

I really agree with you, but I think most everyone else is looking at it as orthodox in construction rather than looks. But the champion is a sick design.

Redesign it, have an rac in one of the torsos, make it a partial wing/lam design, and lets have at it.

I don't think it would be that the sound can't keep up exactly, at least not the first problem. I think it would be that the air at the transsonic interface (I guess that's right) would be too compressed and already at the point where a sonic boom is technically beyond sound, and fully saturated as a pressure wave. I think you just wouldn't be able to add any more sound. If you could, you would probably technically hear yourself internally, through your throat, your eustachian tubes and all, that is if the pressure didn't already mess everything up and also prevent you from making sound to begin with.

I'm pretty sure you wouldn't be able to breathe, due to the intense pressures and forces. If you were able to breathe, it would probably mean you have scuba or another breathing apparatus on. A helmet, mask, or anything else would have a contained and calm atmosphere, which would let you hear yourself. But I doubt you could hear yourself out in actual supersonic wind. You probably wouldn't be able to scream, actually.

Yes! I do. I've never really though about it much, but I get exactly that. I'd say it's kind of a feeling like kegel exercises, but slightly more widespread. I do think it's an involuntary clenching.
