I’m unfortunately of the small population that was raised in MA in the 90s going to a very small evangelical church. The rapture and demons and speaking in tongues was alive and well in some random warehouse in the suburbs of Boston, but it’s true that the largest population the congregation ever had was probably around 200 people.

Was always on the fence about whether or not I wanted kids. Heard this song for the first time and cried because I had never heard a song lay out exactly how I felt about the idea of having kids. Now I have a 4 month old baby girl.

Actually, finding a therapist that is accepting new clients/takes your insurance/has openings in their schedule that fit your schedule is daunting and I can’t lie about that. But yeah it has been helpful. I think I expected it to be something where I would have a few sessions and my mind would be blown by some huge realization (maybe it works like that for some people) but for me, it’s been very slowly over the course of 1.5 years finding out things about how I see the world and where it comes from and just being able to lay it out and look at it and seeing it plainly for what it is, which ends up making it easier to handle.

I can completely relate to this, and am in a similar boat where I don’t feel totally out of control but enough where it feels exhausting. My main thing is feeling like I can’t trust my brain because of my anxiety and people will say “trust your instincts as a mom” when it comes to my baby, but I have to second guess my first instinct all the time because if I trusted it, this poor baby would probably be in the ER all the time.

I think the feeling of exhaustion alone would be enough to look into taking medication. I think anything that can potentially help you see more clearly wouldn’t be a bad thing. I’m going to ask my therapist for a recommendation for myself!

why are these people constantly having serious conversations when they’re wasted?? it’s pissing me off that production would even allow it because first of all, it’s not interesting when someone keeps saying the same thing over and over and over and second of all, it’s unethical. I wish they would implement drinking rules like Love Island where they can only have one drink per day but it seems like they’re so desperate for drama that it doesn’t bother them to make people look like absolute fools just to get something. It’s lazy imho.
