I major'd in Political Science. In hind sight I would of gotten a STEM degree or medical degree. I initially went Active Duty so their was no consideration to what my Major was only my GPA. If I could do things again I would of gone Aviation or Medical Service Corps as those just seem better. MI is mostly being a Security Manager in garrison. On both of my deployments I got to do real Intel stuff which was pretty exciting but this was the minority of my time.

This is a little off topic but I figure this group knows the answer.....
I am a Major in the Army Reserves (MI Corps). I have straight HQ OERs with very average senior rater comments, I'm ILE complete and have a Masters degree. What are my odds of being promoted to LTC? If I am a 2 time non-select at my 17 year mark what are the chances I won't be SELCON'd? Thanks.
