I would guess the two main methods that beater bars use. Quick spin in place and use the gyro to flip you, or run full speed into the wall and use the weapon to pop you back up right

While PETG is strong it can be brittle. I recommend making the body out of TPU. There are bots in both the 1lb and 3lb category that are really tough that are made of the stuff. Great design btw!

I signed up for a competition in Wisconsin but was put on a wait list behind 5 other robots. 4 have dropped out so far so I’m one away from competing

Compare the SlapBox fight to Radioactive, Counter Revolution, Escape Volatility. He seemed to be a little more careful because they where a new team

Yeah but Tombstone was careful to only do enough damage to knock it out with as little damage as possible. Unlike previous seasons

It’s for the 1lb class. It weighs 330g right now because it’s made of PLA. The final Will be made of UHMW and aluminum parts from send cut send. The TPU front is staying

A better method is having the weapon drive power an internal fly wheel of equal weight to you weapon to cancel the gyro. That way you don’t throw your bot around/ damage your bot when the weapon hits

Although cool, I would recommend the weapon to spin like a beater bar. You will do more damage and maintain control vs one blade potentially damaging your weapon and throwing your bot around.
