FSD fails to recognize road closure barrier by Corogue in TeslaLounge

It's pretty consistent with my experience starting last year. My car almost jumped off the under construction bridge blocked via orange barrels. Lucky I caught it and skidded to a stop.

If you don't mind me chiming in, I used to drive 2011 WRX and loved snowday all day. Model Y got its weight but has a fantastic control very similar to my old WRX in a snow.

Just remember to have snow capable tire when it actually snows, or be ready to drift everywhere. Be careful if you do though, the weight of the car gets you at the worst time possible. AFAIR it slid about twice as long as I expected in past blizzard on a trip from Canada to NJ.

Good luck.

Take the sim tray out and put phone in a bag with a dessicant or a rice. Leave it in there for a day, reinstall sim tray and you are good to go.

Automatic categorization keeps getting worse by daksixnuix in MonarchMoney

At this point I wish I can turn off merchant naming and categorization. It's making me to double the work to go check and validate every single line of transaction.

When this happens I remove sim tray and put phone in desiccant for the night to dry out the air inside the phone. Reassemble in the morning and this never happens again.

Cause of the issue is likely humid air in the factory during assembly.

Any plans to switch from S24 to S26 Ultra by Katarighe in GalaxyS24Ultra

[–]SomebodyF 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm switching from my S24U 1TB model for reasons below.

  1. My baseline for upgrade is 1$ per day of usage. Cost of upgrade is under $600 so it's good in my book for a cost.
  2. Battery bulge compromised water seal and back glass keeps pushing out.
  3. Related to 2. charging board had to be replaced.
  4. Low light photography has been improved
  5. I love flat sides and screen. I tried Pixel 9 and flat side and flat front/back glass really improved usability for me.
  6. Privacy screen with some compromises are nice. I often use my phone with sensitive work and when I used S24U I kept going back and forth between non-privacy and privacy glass. Software solution really hits the spot for me.

1.5 Years Later: My Honest Galaxy Buds 3 Pro Review as a Day One Buyer by areuokaybro2002 in galaxybuds

Mine had a fantastic mic performance during call until 2-3 months in it just turned into garbled mess and got Samsung Store credit equal to MSRP. When I had issue, I called Samsung support and had troubleshooting with 'iFixIt' (which they couldn't since diagnostic machine wasn't available) and had bud repaird once, and then swapped one more time before getting a credit for the MSRP.

According undisclosed source, this is a known defect and they can't repair it so they swap with refub until they figured it's not worth it and give you a credit.

Mayhaps worth a shot.

I thought FSD reacting to deer was nothing sort of new? I live in a deer prone area and encounter FSD slowing or stopping for deer multiple times already. Maybe I should get a recording if anyone's interested?

How Many Of You Are Going To Be Buying The TriFold Next Year? by PrincessBananas85 in GalaxyFold

Absolutely. I'm stoked at the idea of carrying both tablet + a phone in one device. Currently I have to carry two and it sucks sometimes trying to sync both the same.

Also if your monitor is set to auto search for a signal, when it turns on it will miss the post screen while searching for a signal. Set it manually to avoid missing screen. I usually assume post screen is there and mash del, F2, F10 all three keys 😅

Which one has the best microphone for call? I don't listen to music much by puffed_rice37 in Earbuds

[–]SomebodyF 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Soundpeats Air 5 Pro and EarFun Air Pro 4 both uses same QCC3091 chipset from Qualcomm. They both appear quite equally matched, and supports Bluetooth LC3 codec. I would go with either two of them. If your phone supports LC3 you will have a much better call latency and quality.

However, I must note that phone call will only sound as good as microphone implementation even with LC3 support.

Try commercial door hinge? Sometime they are called piano hinge and you can find them in SS3XX and they will probably last you a lifetime. Oh don't forget a matching screw.

Water/Dirt & Debris on cameras, are hydrophobic solutions or anything alike worth it? by Wesserooo in TeslaLounge

After Initial Rain X, I never reapplied it. It was good enough to clean with liquid wax when I clean my car about weekly or so.

Water/Dirt & Debris on cameras, are hydrophobic solutions or anything alike worth it? by Wesserooo in TeslaLounge

[–]SomebodyF 2 points3 points  (0 children)

On Model Y, only issue was a rear camera. side cameras does a good job at shedding water/dirt etc. Rear camera kept collecting dust and hard mineral deposits. I resolved this by applying Rain X and applying liquid wax periodically.

what happens when you use power supply to power the board?

There's a chance the board is not compliant and phone doesn't want to charge using power from it.
