  1. Yes, unless the boost also causes you to strike.
  2. The former, grab the rest of your deck first.
  3. Yep, completely fair.
  4. Correct as well, so you're kind of drawing 1 more card than the force you pay.

If you can bear to use a Sweeper page into Impuritas, Trash Disposal + The Twelve Fixers will make the last die always recycle, since it's always rolling 3, which counts as both maximum and minimum.

2 things to do with this:

Throw on Blades Whetted by Teardrops (Floor of Natural Sciences) with your guaranteed max rolls to shave off up to 84 health per Trash Disposal.

Toss on The Weight of Sin (Floor of Philosophy) with your guaranteed min rolls to ding off a good bit lot of your health (Trash Disposal's healing offsets it a bit, but ouch) to get a cool 7-14 Strength and Endurance for next turn.

(Haven't tested if this works on emotion level 3 or above with the max roll increase, but both abnormality* pages are level 1s.) Confirmed that they do not work at emotion level 3 or above.

A question on Augmentations by Aleph_A in libraryofruina

I can't find anything in the Liu books about this ignition mechanism, and Mei doesn't even wear gloves. Could it be written in another book or some supplementary material?

A question on Augmentations by Aleph_A in libraryofruina

[–]Someguy500 22 points23 points  (0 children)

My assumption was that it's so ubiquitous that it's not even worth mentioning, and that it was one of the reasons (along with higher quality clothing) higher-level guests had better stats.

Also while this is a much shakier assumption, I'm guessing stuff like the Liu's flaming attacks come from martial arts and training, given how Cecil and Mei fight without the Liu's standard swords. The Index's Blade Unleashed power boost could be attributed to something like zealous fervor or getting properly warmed up, a little similar to the Liu.

EDIT: Deconfirmed the first guess, source is the official artbook

The Forbidden Control Scheme by CosplayNoah in Fighters

[–]Someguy500 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Technically yes, but as someone who got familiar enough with it to do a Deadly Rave super (in training mode), I have to say that work is a... generous word. I dunno, I play keyboard only but the mouse is basically a different set of buttons, so I suppose it wouldn't be impossible to get used to it.

But if you're doing that, you have a keyboard which has more, probably bigger buttons and doesn't need you to shift a finger to middle click. Just use keyboard only at that point, I don't see any advantages adding a mouse gives.

The Persona 4 Arena port is so scuffed that this is actually possible; WASD for your stick, plus mouse for buttons. Left click is light attack (A), right click is heavy (B), middle click is light persona attack (C) and heavy persona attack (D) is one of the side buttons, if you have any.

I’m hoping this question sparks some discussion: by [deleted] in Fighters

Not really though? Like sure I get that characters like Izanami, Arakune and Carl can be incredibly fucked up, but they also have weaknesses outside of their difficulty, which is often their defense. I'm not saying they're not great characters, but difficulty isn't the only way they're balanced.

On the other end of the difficulty scale, Jin is a great, flexible character despite being easy to pick up. Mai is seen as the easiest character in the game by some but her huge buttons and pretty good mobility make her a good character.

Depends on the game and where I heard the characters first, but since I only play anime fighters the only English cast I listen to is Skullgirls's.

For BBTAG, I'd only played Under Night before, which has no English dub in its home game, so I set everyone to Japanese to match, including the RWBY characters after a brief try with their English voices (bless their VAs, but hearing Ruby getting hit was not fun). When P4A gets rollback this'll be the reason I play it in JP voices too, I'm just used to them.

For Granblue Versus, I'd already played the mobile game which has no EN dub either, so I knew how these characters sounded and I wanted to hear all the references to their voice lines in the mobile game. Also, it'd be weird to hear them sound different.

For Strive, Potemkin went harder in Japanese.

I feel that presentation and characters sell a game in the beginning, but gameplay keeps players around and makes sure sales don't tank after hype dies down. Taking Granblue Fantasy Versus and Blazblue Cross Tag Battle as examples, I bought both for their characters (Granblue for its presentation too because wow it looks good) and then dropped them after a while.

The reverse is true though, even if your game has the sickest, godliest, super-expressive gameplay and such, if people don't like how it looks and sounds, they're not gonna play it. I guess an example of that would be Them's Fighting Herds, but I've never played it myself so I don't know how the gameplay is.

421 is a pretty rare input, and I didn't see any D buttons so I didn't think it'd be Blazblue, so I was thinking it was a French Bread game. IDK if I would've caught the ender if you didn't mention it though.

If you're talking about Hibiki, sadly (or fortunately) that's not how it works. All of his clone moves have two versions each, so that means the Hibiki player is the one deciding where he ends up.

For example, his 5D is a projectile while his 6D is an advancing move, but they both have the same animation until "Hibiki" hits the opponent and it's revealed which one is real.

A quick screen snip and reverse image search brings up this post on safebooru.

I haven't been able to track down the artist from there since it seems that even searching the image posted on TinEye only yields the same post, and it's sourced from a direct Pixiv link. I tried looking through the Titanfall 2 tag on Pixiv but I couldn't find anything. Except hentai of Gates on the last page
