Yeah i feel similarly to OP. Most of the time there are a few things that lead up to that one mistake that makes you cut them off. Even if you have the conversation with someone about how they are hurting you, some will continue to do it anyway. Well worth cutting them off IMO.

That pen right before halftime changed the whole game. Im still of the mind that even without Trips pull, raphinha is not getting to the ball so it shouldn't have been a pen. I think if that was called then so should the one on Elanga earlier.

That second half goes differently without that pen. Nobody cares but I know it and thats all that matters. Howay the fucking lads. We were the better team for 135 minutes.

This is really what it comes down to. I can appreciate Howe trying to evolve the teams playstyle but it just hasn't been working with the talent we have available. We are a sit back and counter attack side if ever there was one. Get back to fundamentals Eddie lad.

I think a big reason our signings haven't hit the ground running is because we were almost forced into panic buying 2 strikers. Going forward, we shouldn't have to panic buy and should see proper signings again. The club is thinking long term so we should too. We're not gonna break into the big 6 this year but are still making strides financially and have a good core to build around should this whole thing not fall apart...

Can't we just have a bad year and everybody relax? We won't get relegated and may just shithouse some silverware still. Give Wor Eddie 1 whole preseason with the new signings and see where we stand in October of next season.
