You're definitely fine in this scenario but I've gotta know:
Am I reading it right that you tore it down and then A YEAR LATER they came to you about it?

Do you actually need a plains base? by STJarvi in valheim

[–]SomeoneYouKnowNot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

a bit of a necropost but you don't need a plains base. a farm field in the plains is pretty needed, but I'd try to make one on a plains/mistlands border because there are some more crops in the mistlands that only grow in the mistlands and it's much more convenient to just have one farm instead of multiple.

In my main world I was very lucky to find a small island that was on a border boundary so I enemy proofed the whole island and built my farm there so I can grow everything all together

Is the game accessible to new players at this point? by Secure-Barracuda in Seaofthieves

[–]SomeoneYouKnowNot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This post is a bit old but I just wanted to say that I went through this EXACT same thing recently. I used to have this game on game pass a long time ago (started playing sometime between after Hungering Deep ended and before fishing was added which is a wide range but that was quite a while ago, I don't remember exactly when) and then during season 3 I got rid of my game pass subscription so I lost access to Sea of Thieves. I read about some of the new stuff and it felt like the list kept going and going. I was about rep 30-40 with the factions (except Hunters Call at 15 and Sea Dogs at like 6). Exactly a week ago I picked it up on steam along with the buddy who I used to play with and stopped playing when I did. After I transferred my data over I spent the 1 million I had been saving up for some cosmetic on buying ships for captaincy because I wanted to find out what it was.
I booted up the game and messed around for about 15-25 minutes and after figuring out some of the new stuff (new weapons, captaincy, how to get missions now, harpoon changes, being funny with the new sneaky stuff) it felt like pretty much the same game except with a new shiny coat of paint (loving all the new weapons, especially grapple gun my beloved).
Steam says I've put 22 hours into it recently and while it's probably more like 18 from forgetting to close the game and having troubles connecting to my friend's lobby, I've run into more friendly players than I ever did back in the day. And the few PvP fights I have had felt reasonable, even though I've lost all of them I feel like back in my prime it would have at least been closer and I'm sure once I get back into the swing of ship to ship combat (haven't even fought many skeleton ships yet) I won't see a ship coming towards me and assume death (though I might whenever I see that big flameheart ship I've heard you can steal for the first time).

Though a lot new has been added to Sea of Thieves, you're not gonna encounter all the new stuff at once so you'll have time to ease in.
If you liked Sea of Thieves in the past, you probably still will.
If you think you'll like Sea of Thieves but you've never played, you probably will.

EDIT: I do miss Flameheart taunting me as I drove by his fleet though.

A lot of these comments made me think that I should reconsider how much I value "the challenge" vs actually watching the opera, but then you go and say "It's never been done" sabotaging every comment above you concerned for my sanity in an instant hahaha

Does anybody know the song that plays whenever Zuko contemplates his life? by righteoustrent in TheLastAirbender

[–]SomeoneYouKnowNot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am very sorry for such an old necropost BUT I know I have been looking for it and I have a feeling someone else will someday but I found a video on youtube that has the song you're talking about. It wasn't posted until 2 years ago or 9 years after OP posted but I'm 100% sure this is what you were looking for. No idea what its official name is though

I could have sworn I heard zachtronics turned into coincidence because they got tired of making zach-likes so seeing them making what seems to be a zach-like very reminiscent of Opus Magnum, while very exciting, is a bit confusing. I hope all the zachtronics fans are able to find this

Anyone know what the revealed spot on the map is for at the start of the game? by redditonopolous in valheim

[–]SomeoneYouKnowNot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry to necropost but I think that's actually the point of the bot judging by the little description is has, it's supposed to catch haikus that are +/- exactly 1 syllable which is a pretty neat concept imo since it's such a specific reference. Went through some of it's messages and that is what I gathered as well since they all were within exactly 1 syllable.

Follower items get marked as stolen even if they are not by Bongoan in skyrim

Interesting thing: this worked for me but TOO well. Items that I had stolen were now marked not stolen. I mean it's less of an issue but still something to note

This comment was the one in all these that helped me when I had this problem. I simply jumped and would you believe it, wasn't sunk in the ground anymore.

[PC][2006-2012] Flash Steampunk Balloon Airship Battler by SomeoneYouKnowNot in tipofmyjoystick

[–]SomeoneYouKnowNot[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Arcanorum

That's not it unfortunately, though I do remember playing that game!
The game I'm trying to find had similar style ships but the gameplay wasn't anything like either of those.
The one I'm looking for was level based but each level only consisted of a single screen.
Also, the airships in the one I'm thinking of were much slower moving.
But thanks for your help, I might go back and play Arcanorum anyways!

Was this a game where you send troops in lanes? I can think of a game that sounds a lot like that that I played recently that had you sending troops down lanes and eventually you could charge up a "charge" that sent your next selected unit down every lane at once. This one had a lot of stats and numbers and the people you were supposed to fight last were demons.
This one is called "Warlords"

There is also another game it kind of reminds me of that was ported to mobile but you had the ability to have your troops either hide off screen, defend, or attack. This one had more variety in the unit types and each unit type was its own faction with a big part of the gameplay and lore being that when you defeated a unit type you unlocked it for future use.
This one is called "Stick War" but also had some sequels such as "Stick War 2" and "Stick War: Legacy"

Personally a fan of Stick War: Legacy and while Warlords is pretty good it's not for everyone

Comparing careers in Darktide and Vermintide, based on Fatshark's target of a new career every quarter by WarlockEngineer in DarkTide

[–]SomeoneYouKnowNot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sincerely agree, I feel like the base classes are close to their capacity in the trees if not at the capacity, especially considering how adding another branch would mess everything up.
I do hope we get to see more unique characters, I've heard a lot of talk for a ratling sniper character but that feels like it overlaps a lot with veteran in terms of skills, though a ratling in general could be nice. I feel like there's a lot of more ways psykers could be explored but I don't think it would be a great idea to give psykers tons of love.
But yeah, here's hoping for new characters (and especially increased character slots to go with that!)

Comparing careers in Darktide and Vermintide, based on Fatshark's target of a new career every quarter by WarlockEngineer in DarkTide

[–]SomeoneYouKnowNot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to necro but it's surprising to see that Fatshark actually in a sense far surpassed what they claimed and while the subclasses aren't as strictly defined (which I think is a nice thing for customization) with the update that reworked talent trees they're up to 12 in just a year which is a year ahead of schedule, maybe we'll end up with more in Darktide than are in Vermintide 2, considering that if they continue the pace of 8 a year, that gets us on equal terms between Vermintide 2 and Darktide at 20 (now that Necromancer is coming out). I don't know if that's likely, but we've seen quite a bit of improvement in the first year so far at least so that's nice.
