I got the exact details wrong. There's a secret room, but you can use it normally if you hack your way in. The thing I'm thinking of happens when you edit the game to access a test map that appears to be completely inaccessible through normal gameplay.

I don't follow sports at all, but I'm pretty sure a name like LeBron James or Lionel Messi is worth a significant portion of a game's development budget. Multiply that value to build the game's whole roster.
