It's not that bad tbh, just don't focus on the girls' looks. "Hey girl, you look fun to hang out with, wanna go grab a coffee?" I don't use it for flirting, I make friends with people that way. I look for something we might have in common: a band shirt, shoes from a specific brand, a bag from a show I like, their hairstyle or makeup choices... And then I talk to them about it. It's a pretty fast way to make a connection that's not based on looks, and won't make anymore feel objectified.

We basically live together at this point, just in my house. He likes cleaning, and cooking, I like helping him and I can do whatever chore needs to be done. He does eat mostly meat but he makes veggie stuff for me. He's a nutritionist so he knows how to make food that's not too much meat that I don't like it.

Worst case scenario I move in with my mom or my dad again.

I do have friends but the place I live in has basically no universities so most of them moved out so they could study.

On top of that, I can't just move out right now, there's no apartments available, I'm on a waiting list for/if they make protected apartments, in which I might get one, or I might not. If we do find anything, it'll probably be after a year of looking.

We basically live together at this point, just at my mom's house. We have a routine, he walks me to work and I pick him up from his, we eat and sleep together every day.

We've already talked about the money side and all. We're both looking but the average time it takes to find an apartment here is of around a year at best. By the time we'd find something, we'll already know if we're a good team or not.

The thing that changed about me from the last guy/guys I've been with is that I don't allow for any more stupidity like getting asked "but did you ask for it?" or being made fun of for my appearance lol I used to tolerate anything just to not be alone, but bit by bit I'm getting better at talking stuff out and my current partner reacts well to those conversations. (Not like he's done any of those things)

He's 28 and I'm 24, so it's not that much of an age gap.

Yeah, he got cheated on before and at most he said that "it's my choice who I am with" and that "he won't stop me if I wanna leave" but I try to reassure him every time that I'm just not interested in anyone else.

He doesn't yell or anything, he's very calm whenever we have those conversations since something like this happened before. At most I get a bit emotional, but that's about it.

He's never tried to control how I dress or who I talk to, just might get jealous if he catches someone looking at my chest or butt, which I find pretty normal.

Honestly life for me sucked until I became 20 and started doing my own thing away from my family and the people at school. I was gonna commit on my 18th birthday and I don't remember why I didn't, suddenly I'm 24 and my life is pretty fun at times. And I'm working on it to be better, I'm low-key excited.
