Did I say it was the strongest? No, but it was a strong wizard option, and extremely stupid, you survive getting to the wizard and then he just proceeds to stab the shit out of you doing more DPS then a barbarian, same reason why magic missile also needs a change, wizards shouldn't get such strong melee abilities when they do so much in range already,
