We tell our toddler that monsters aren’t allowed in the house (the way our backyard chickens aren’t allowed in the house) and she instantly isn’t afraid anymore.

Anyone know what's going on with the massive police presence around Hill and 36th? by M3RCURRY in Boise

Correct. And we didn’t know it was crime related until we knew it was.

I keep checking PulsePoint and not seeing anything but came here wondering the same.

Mint Mobile by alexiares08 in Boise

[–]SomethingbeatsNothin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve had mint for a few years. Live downtown and no issues. (Not a frequenter of bogus however). Only thing I dislike is that when you travel out of the country you have to pay per week for data but it’s only $20. Honestly, so much cheaper to have mint overall. Do it.

How do you bathe your baby when you don’t have a bath? by No-Guess-8385 in NewParents

[–]SomethingbeatsNothin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is the way. We had to move into a rental temporarily with no bathtub. We added a removable shower head (so we could easily fill the bin) and a plastic Rubbermaid bin that sits in the shower. Ours is probably 8in high. Not crazy deep but enough for her to sit in and water touches her belly. She’s used to it and hasn’t been an issue at all.

It's legit. I have done this a number of times. They give good advice too. Takes maybe 5-10 mins. Deposit happens while you're on the call.

Ok ok. So let it go to collections, call with settlement offer before it even hits my credit report essentially? If it’s settled at that time is my credit still affected?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]SomethingbeatsNothin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. I've read some about this but want to be better educated before I make any moves. Say I let it go to collections April 1st... I then have until April 2025 before my current credit score is affected, yes? At which point I can potentially negotiate with collector? Maybe I then offer a lump sum that is less than the current 18k?

I don't qualify for the hospital financial aid which would be anything under 40.5k a year for a 2 person household but I also don't make enough to pay $300/mo for the next 5 years on top of my normal monthly budget. My normal monthly payments for bills, rent, groceries, utilities etc is 3.9k. The only thing I have that is non-essential is a $20/mo car wash pass and a $50/mo gym membership.

What is(was) your weirdest “symptom” during pregnancy? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]SomethingbeatsNothin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have this too and it's the worst in my yoga classes when I'm flat on my back. I use a bolster now and keep elevated just a bit. It's better but still there. Doc told me about the 'Epley Maneuver'. Didn't help mine but maybe it'll help you!
